What degree blade are you using? If you do a lot of cutting on laminated film, you should be using a 45.

It kinda baffles me that someone wants to make graphics like a pro, yet won't spend the money on the right tools to do it. Just buy Flexi and be done with it. Prints, cuts, designs. It's not perfect, but all this rigging of second rate software makes me glad to have all the tools to do it right.

half of what we do is contour cut/laminated decals. Have no issues as long as blade is sharp and cut pressure is dialed in, on most media. 3M 180 with lam has some issues with really small text, as there is very little actually holding the vinyl to the liner. You just have to be careful.

We use Bantex 10 oz. 2 sided blockout. Pretty much just like the ultraflex ultrasmooth. (Curl Free).

I think you would only want to print with K if you are doing color separations, not to achieve a grey.

Maybe cover the color band with tape before registering to cut? Or use manual registration (all I use) if you have to have the color bands?

Problem is....those aren't hand painted. I have every one of those fonts.

It always seems to be the 'coro sign' customers. Because they saw that sign on the corner for "100 Coro signs for $6" each. When I tell them $40 for 1 and they choke....gotta love it. And when you explain screen printing/high volume/blah blah blah....they still don't get it.

I agree and disagree with this....I like to see the faintest bit of scoring on the paper. Not a cut...just a tiny mark, mostly visible if you run a blue Stabilo over it and it shows. Then I know it is cutting the vinyl correctly, and I have a visual mark for laying a second color, replacing a...

Print a big chunk of your PMS on vinyl and cut that.
