  1. Large vehicle graphics

Not that you asked for it but that design for the heart and lettering is not going to work on the other side.
  2. how to make 4X8 backlit table

The 3M mats require at least 3" of separation between the mat and the face. As long as you've got to build it up anyway fluorescent lights are cheap and easy to do.
  3. What should this be priced at?

$50 seems awfully cheap for three hours of work and all that vinyl. You should be able to knock that out, setup, cutting, and installation in less than an hour for one....doing five at a time would only be a minimal time increase. Assuming it's about 2'x2', 4 color, including setup, one hour...
  4. Bicycles...............

Shop Craigslist. Bike people apparently LOVE to upgrade and dump their old bikes. http://reading.craigslist.org/bik/
  5. How long to cure fresh paint before applying vinyl?

They apply factory graphics hours after painting vehicles. Two local body shops have me do replacement sign work for them.....I'm usually called in for installation the day after they paint, usually installing while they reassemble the vehicle. Put hood stripes on my Jeep the day after it was...
  6. I need some old Machines!!

For $2000 I'll hop on a plane and deliver my Roland Color Camm to you.
  7. Huge Sign

I've always thought the reason all the old signpainters I knew chain smoked was because the cigarette would burn off the toxic fumes from the thinner and paint before the painter could inhale them.
  8. Paint Mask Option A,B or C?

810, more flexible and better results for signs. 811 is too stiff, it's more like an old school stencil material. 813 (I think, never used it) is the transparent stuff with really low tack. It's more like Frisket used in airbrushing.
  9. Huge Sign

Or brain damaged from all those years of inhaling lacquer thinner and absorbing lead based paints. :ROFLMAO:
  10. 4' or 5' wood or plastic sign stakes.

I can find contractor stakes but they're always unpainted pine. These are hardwood, with holes at the top and slots in the center and they're painted white. Me drilling and painting them is not an option. I'd really love to find a supplier for the plastic ones. They're out there but dang if...
  11. 4' or 5' wood or plastic sign stakes.

Real-A-Stake in Birmingham was owned by the same people the were local to me. They closed them both. Supposedly there's an old guy in Hoover making them by hand but he doesn't make many and he stays booked up doing work for his regular customers.
  12. 4' or 5' wood or plastic sign stakes.

I can't believe that Montgomery, Alabama was the only place on the planet that used these stakes. Anybody got anything?
  13. Huge Sign

You old hand painting guys sure are defensive.
  14. new shop van wrap

Can we see the other side? Everybody always posts pics of the easy side.
  15. 5x10 dibond/alupanel brushed aluminum finish?

Thought of another line that might help in the future. Alpolic makes architectural quality panels that for some reason have never been embraced by the sign community. The samples are absolutely incredible. The frLT line comes in 5x10 sheets and in a brushed aluminum finish. Don't know where...
  16. Gino - the new champ?

Bound to happen. Gino picked up the slack left from Shovelheads departure.
  17. Copy/Paste In Flexi

How do you step and repeat a jpeg from a website into flexisign?
  18. Copy/Paste In Flexi

Just for reference... http://signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77930&highlight=flexisign Nobody had a solution....maybe this time somebody can help.
  19. 5x10 dibond/alupanel brushed aluminum finish?

Lean them toward doing a 4x8 sign instead of a 5x10 and your problem is solved!:ROFLMAO:
  20. 4' or 5' wood or plastic sign stakes.

I need to find a supplier for either wood or plastic stakes that we use for our real estate signs. I need 4' & 5' lengths. I know they're out there, anybody got a source for them? My local supplier for the wooden ones just closed his doors.
