After that you should be able to 'force' some cleaning fluid through the nozzles the correct way...you should be able to get a fine mist spray coming out of it...it looks pretty neat.
Rinse and repeat a few times and you should be in business...they are fairly durable...and the worst thing that...
I took the head out and put it in a bowl with cleaning fluid...let it sit for a few hours and then try to suck backwards...obviously you may want to change the fluid in the bowl when it gets gooped up from the head sitting in it.
Also tape the electronics up before you do this...only about 1/4...
+1 we got a UStech AK-600 and I love it...does everything I need it to do without all the bells and whistles...(it still has a few bells and whistles, which I have since taken off)...much easier than the big squeegie.

We roll on a strip of clear 4in to reinforce the leading edge of the vinyl before sticking it on the board and running through the laminator.
But other than that everyone gets paper tape for their decals...unless it is a simple hour change on a front door or something.

But what you're saying here is that even though you get the print subbed out...the product is still rolling out of your garage...I think in the OPs case it is rolling out of a competitors shop and building word of mouth for a rival...
Where I live any vehicle that is wrapped is an eye catcher...
I agree with KY wraps...you aren't making coro signs that anyone can do. The install (and to a lesser extent design) is where the wow factor comes in and you don't want your competition to be getting that.
