  1. Lost a nice client... saw that one coming!

It sounds to me like they left over price the first time, but came back for a great corporate identity package... oh, did I say "great"... I meant "award winning" corporate identity package... and at your price of course.. ...so I'm quite sure you would be releasing the logo files, and I guess...

  4. The open discussion of pricing

 no, I must concede that you are absolutely correct, not that i didn't already share that view... but I find it humorous how much this topic, or where my point, is not quite aligning with yours is quite closely related to a post i just wrote in the "scheduling, organizing" thread...
  5. Project scheduling and organization

honestly, in my opinion, chatting about this stuff with our peers is valuable, but it's playing around really... and I ain't knockin' that either... it's what I do most here, and what I enjoy most here... working? working would be if I got my scheduling form uploaded, and pasted in here & went...
  6. The open discussion of pricing

  8. Project scheduling and organization

I had to laugh when I read this because I have been struggling with this same fact on and off for years... so, I was already laughing at the trap we fall in "reading up on trade knowledge" as if that was somehow "work" until we realize we're a damn site smarter about signs then ever.. BUT NO...
  9. The open discussion of pricing

Fitch, you comments are quite correct, and I'm sure (though it's not my place to say so) that you are not being singled out... and I'm certain the "or lack thereof" had nothing to do with your post... you clearly stated one of the most fundamental truths about this topic.. but I'd bet Fred's...

  15. Print servers and printer setup question

so the print data travels from Flexi to your router, via an ethernet cable, and then from the router to the print server via another ethernet cable? ..and then from the print server to the printer via parallel cable? If I have that right, I could see how owning multiple copies of Flexi would...
  16. which printer is better, mimaki, mutoh, roland?

see everyone thinks their printer is the best.. why not? we all faced the challenges you face, and we made our decision. Personally I place the Mimaki full solvent printer above any Mutoh, and any Roland.. because those were my choices, and I id my research, and have had no reason to alter my...
  17. Print servers and printer setup question

What is a print server for? Is it to send the print from multiple workstations? You use Flexi? Do you have multiple copies of Flexi? What are benefits of a print server? I'm not familiar with them...
  18. Big Squeegee

like Dale mentioned.. pressure is not a concern.. obviously you don't want it to lift off the print on one side, so that much pressure is needed, but don't think of it as applying pressure.. simply reach over to the center, and apply just enough to keep it on the print.. that's it! You can check...
  19. Laminators for under $5000 - recommendations, and why!

forgot to mention... I have an Arctic titan too. It has it's moments & I've posted about some frustrations with it, but generally speaking I've been able to train my staff fairly easily to where I almost never run it anymore, only have imperfect results on well below 5% of jobs, and paid around...
