We use SignWorld for banner stands. Their anti-curl banner material for them is the bomb. Printing on it right now.:thumb: Their banner hem tape is the best I've used too.

HP needs to address the use of small pieces. Not all shops are tasked with running full rolls of media day in day out. 18"x18" piece in my shop can easily be turned into 50 bucks.

If it's more than 2 double-sided I sub them out. Not worth the headaches.

Our local tech college can do that as we have a 3 credit wide format class. Not sure you'd want to commute to WI though. Check your local tech schools and see what they offer.

Did you try cleaning the encoder strip? Could be the encoder strip is shot too. I replaced one on my SP540V a while ago. You can use a generic strip as long as its 180LPI. Got mine delivered for 30 bucks. Printed like a champ for a while then I had to replace all the ribbon cables that...

One of my students has a Surface Pro 4. He really likes it and says it runs Adobe CC without issue. My brother also has one, and says for day to day business management it rocks. He uses an iPad Pro for everything else.
