Problem with 3D printing is the tech is evolving so fast. By the time you get the printer bought and set up newer generations are on their way making it obsolete.
Quality is just not there either. Many times it takes a ton of hand finishing/filling etc... to make things look good.
It was a...
May want to check into a variable frequency drive. Or it may be more cost effective by going single phase. You may need more than one, but it could make for a more efficient system.
What you want to look for is a ring blower or regenerative blower since that is what you have.
I use auto paint. Local place will color match, and put in a spray can, or make as little as two ounces to use in your airbrush/spray gun. Enamel with catalyst is my go to.
I've done base clear with custom effects on vinyl in the past. Only downside with either method is you aren't going to...
Hate it when I can't remember the simple ones. Worse when I have the font.:banghead:
Seems Frankfurt Gothic Heavy from my old Coreldraw 3 is a match.
Thanks again for the help.:thumb:
We use SignWorld for banner stands. Their anti-curl banner material for them is the bomb. Printing on it right now.:thumb:
Their banner hem tape is the best I've used too.
I "sorted" all my drops to the dump. Rarely had the right size drop for a client. What do you do with a 11" X 96" strip of ACM? Next guy needs a 12" x 96" and so forth.:frustrated:
HP needs to address the use of small pieces. Not all shops are tasked with running full rolls of media day in day out. 18"x18" piece in my shop can easily be turned into 50 bucks.
Our local tech college can do that as we have a 3 credit wide format class. Not sure you'd want to commute to WI though. Check your local tech schools and see what they offer.
I'll answer that for the OP. Said they want to stay eco-sol because it's what they're used to. Up side of staying with Roland is near zero learning curve with RIP's profiles etc... Maybe they have a Roland dealer/tech 2 blocks away from their shop too. That would be a big deal to me. As...
Did you try cleaning the encoder strip? Could be the encoder strip is shot too.
I replaced one on my SP540V a while ago. You can use a generic strip as long as its 180LPI. Got mine delivered for 30 bucks. Printed like a champ for a while then I had to replace all the ribbon cables that...
Here's a tutorial for Ps:

You can record this as an action too. With an action you automate most if not all of the effect.
Sometimes this is a better way to go since you have ultimate control over the finished product.
One of my students has a Surface Pro 4. He really likes it and says it runs Adobe CC without issue. My brother also has one, and says for day to day business management it rocks. He uses an iPad Pro for everything else.
