assuming you are using any of the standard adhesives for this application my issue(s) with complex shapes (either difficult shapes, tight corners, or extremely small shapes/letters/etc) has not been adhesive issues but rather finding a way to hold the parts in place while the adhesive sets up...
i remember that very early on there was a print issue that resulted in a thin line through the prints but it was corrected with an update to the software...if you are using very early software it maybe worth it to search out the most updated version available on rolands site..but i can not...
i knew a sign shop owner that was doing this about 5 yrs ago that was making pretty good money...his customers would pay him to make the sign, then they would pay him $100 an hour (only during rush hour) and then he made tips from ppl who were entertained..not to mention many business owners saw...
personally i don't see the value in the domain name..but like i said stranger things have happened and i've seen people find people willing to pay ferrari prices for a beat up old honda..i wish you well, i don't ever want to see anyone take a financial beating. but personally i see no value in...
if you aren't using the tools you have and they are not making you a profit..it doesn't make much sense keeping them around. every day they are losing value.
unfortunately if you have not been operating this 'business' and it is not/has not generated a profit it most likely isn't worth more...
every sign company should offer their clients screenprinted and embroidered garments imho..but after printing them in house and doing embroidery i would MUCH rather develop strategic partnerships with companies that can fulfill that need for me than do it in house...but that's just me
i installed one about 15yrs ago as part of a sign package for a corporate headquarters. it was pretty straight forward. there was a receiving sleeve that was provided by the manufacturing company that was set in the ground ( a hole was dug prior for the cement footing) but before the cement was...
i don;t have a fix to offer..however, the times that i have seen this issue it has either been a software setting. a glaring mechanical issue. or cutting fonts (or converting the same fonts to curves) that are of less than excellent quality, especially the fonts from free sites, etc. not every...
lugg i know we have talked in private and are having a conversation tomorrow either in person or on the phone..but i think i should throw a couple things out there for everyone else and their thoughts on your idea.
there is less than 5 ad agencies in this area. none of them present themselves...
i always prefer a happy customer to a unhappy customer...i know crazy me...anyways happy customers spend more money with me and send me referals...unhappy customers bitch and moan to anyone that will listen.
have you asked him what it would take to make him happy? explained your position and...
if this guy is the owner of the company give his money back tell him you won't allow your staff to be treated this way ... good bye.
if this guy is an employee i would be letting his employer know about his behavior to you and your staff and that he is not welcome in your shop and someone...
i have done many large scale projects (both large in size and large in quantity). don't let the size overwhelm you . if you had to panel a 16' X 32' sign you would go about it the same way you can only handle sheets so large and printers can only print so wide.
lay it out. get it printed...
i have setup a high production assembly line for a mass produced sign product that sounds somewhat similar to what you are trying to explain to us.
the particular company that i am referring to printed phenolic sheeting then sandwiched it within two pieces of acrylic and then cnc routed to...
yep nothing new here. just make sure you test on something other than someones vehicle until you find the correct combination for your application.
if your decals do not need to be larger than 11.5" in width the gerber edge may be a good option for you.
i'm thinking you should have lined up sponsors for this project i am certain 3m would see no problems promoting vhb, heineken for motivation and inspiration of creative thinking, maybe you can even get that powerplant donated..creative thinking like this deserves support. hell get everyone on...
artbot, respectfully that is NOT the correct procedure. you are passing along erroneous information that could have very expensive consequences and possibly deadly consequences.
i can not stress this enough. anyone who follows your advice is putting their equipment and their safety at risk. i...
Please, i can not stress this enough. Unplug the machine before working on it. The above menitoned procedure is so dangerous that it should be removed.
