You would be hard pressed to find a Mac person that prefers Corel, especially since the last version of Corel was around the time of OS9.
For Mac people the real debate is Illustrator/Freehand and Indesign/Quark
You may not see them if they were created from another version of AI or exported from Corel. Any time you save an AI file it does save a thumbnail, unless you save down to a low version which did not support thumbnails

pic? Most car nameplates use custom lettering. If you spend all that time designing the car, why not go with a custom nameplate rather than a typeset job
It's not Adobe Caslon, it is most likely Caslon 3 or some other Caslon that came with some sign software

I can assure you that this is not Baskerville or Times
Caslon is the better match. Notice the v, the slightly angled top of the A, cap W, and other letters that do not match the aforementioned
Caslon 3 Italic seems to be the best.
