I agree with 702. I'd rather have a good, solid installer cert. means nothing if you know what you are doing.
It is important to put some sort of portfolio together and hit shops in the area or mail something / email to others in your region to try to hustle up some gigs.
Thanks,
Kurt...
Dear god!....
I will show them why their prices are so damn low... JUNK!
Why oh why can't these people get into another line of work?

Ok, so there is no matte optically clear lam? I guess people are just using the regular matte lam on windows and not having good vision....
Anyone have any other ideas?
Oh well back to the drawing board I guess.
Thanks,
Kurt
The only way to price match is apples to apples. If a customer tells me a guy down the road will be my price by $1,000 on a project using the same materials I will call his bluff. There is a reason it is that much cheaper. Either inferior materials or inferior skills.
I agree with you though I...
The customer is me... It is for our shop truck. I have seen others with matte lam. There has got to be something out there.
If I have to go without lam I will go without perf. I do not like it to begin with but will have to change the design is I am not going to use it.
Thanks,
Kurt
Because I need to cover window perf. as well and would rather just buy 1 roll then 2. I don't want to put gloss over the perf. and matte on the rest.
Thanks,
Kurt
Do you guys feel like you are getting anything in terms of projects or work out of your social media?
I just spent the last two days putting together FB pages for my companies and am wondering how you all feel about it.
Every indication is it would work and it certainly makes sense... But...
Does anyone know where I can find this? Having trouble finding it through any of my normal suppliers. They all seem to only have 54" stuff.
Would prefer 3M or Oracal.
Thanks,
Kurt
Will be using perf vinyl on the windows as much as I hate it....
This started out as being a partial wrap and just kept going and turned into a full wrap.
Thanks for all your input guys, anyone else?
I am def going to try the matte lam with gloss overlays just am not sure how yet.
Thanks,
Kurt
OK, one more update with rear and hood views as well. Looking for more input and to see what you all think.
Also, can I load up lam in the vinyl cutter and cut? I like the idea of doing parts in gloss with the base in matte.
Thanks,
Kurt
