Nope- definite color change. I just laid it out and it is 16' long- no wonder it took so long to print- my daughter laid it out and I thought for some reason that it was 12'. I think I am going to skip the center rollers until my experience dictates otherwise. Gene

So... if I start with an appropriate RIPC profile and add my own ICC profile to it to match my ink set... it might work. Does not the icc 'tune' the color to the ink set and media? I am seriously seeking info here btw. Thanks Gene

I started to try to modify a Roland RIPC profile to play nice with my Triangle Ink set last spring- but haven't had time to spend since then. Has anyone else had any success with this approach? I am not sure if the RIPC profiles have something related to RIPC in them or it was the firmware...

Is this a new problem? If you are just starting with the printer make sure that the printer is level- I would think that that could cause a drift to the low side. And the rubber separating does not sound good- I read somewhere that the outer rollers are slightly conically shaped for tracking?

Yessir- that is it- I got a little more elaborate, I took the wipers out to clean them, also the wiper scraper and removed the sheetmetal box to clean more thoroughly. My VP is quite a lot easier to maintain- except for 4 heads to clean in a rather awkward position. Gene

I have a VP540 and bought the roland version of Wasatch (after using the small format version for my SP300- and loving it) and Wasatch could never get it to print without banding. Finally had to switch to VersaWorks to get a good print. Wasatch of course gave me the old 'too bad, so sad'...

I always thought that would be good too- when we buy lam for our Edge print vinyl it comes 13" wide- the print is 12" and you cannot cover the perfs on the edge of the vinyl if you are going to contour cut it.

I have several blade holders for my Edge and a couple for my VP- I like to dial in a blade for a material and be able to leave it alone. Anyway- just realized that the Edge blade holder will fit the Roland, altho I had to make a spacer out of a washer (about 1/16") to correct the headspace...
