I was reinforcing the previous post about breninc.com- that part number is the product I use from Bren. Sorry about the shorthand- old man tryin' ta be hip when 'groovy' is more my style.

Something new too- http://www.rolanddg.com/news/nr091201_texturesystemlibrary.html Hamamatsu, Japan, December 1, 2009 — Roland DG Corporation, the pioneer of integrated Print&Cut technology, today introduced the new Roland Texture System Library for its VersaUV LEC series of 30” UV-LED...
  3. Eleven Ten Ink Conversion

I use Triangle Inx and have for the last 2 Roland printers- I was not commenting on the ink- just anyone saying any aftermarket inks are P&P, I would be careful.

  6. Is there a 3M product chart?

Thanks guys- cptcorn- I got some great shots of the 2719 (steam locomotive) in Two Harbors this fall- also toured the Congdon mansion. Had to stay at the Black Bear Casino- but the rest of the weekend was nice. Gene
  7. Is there a 3M product chart?

My Midwest rep was in with a 3M rep yesterday (with samples rolls). We are the home of 3M (Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing) and I have used 3M products all of my working life. We use mainly Gerber(3M) premium vinyls for cut and edge printing (Arlon for 24" as they seem to match their colors...
  8. WinXP question about view menu- addendum

Forgot the graphic pointing to my problem- and I just had to go to the detail view>date modified> double click to find this jpg (that I made yesterday and could not remember what I called it... arghh)
  9. WinXP question about view menu

Does anyone know of a way to force windows to open with the detail view every time. I understand that folder options>view> remember view settings *should* do this- it does not. Seems that thumbnail, tiles, icons or list is the only options where it will *stick*. I like to go to details and...

  11. which plotter you recommended to buy

I'm with Pat- you always get the best plotters at the cheapest price.
  12. scroll wheel problems

Interesting snake- I did not know that- works good on this station with a regular wheel mouse. The other station has a 'tilting or wobble' scroll wheel- on that one when you push the wheel left or right you scroll l or r. This old wheel mouse scrolls vert as I would expect- the new one has...
  13. scroll wheel problems

I just bought a wireless MS mouse 5000- I love it- 5 buttons and tilting scroll wheel. The tilt wheel function works great- the scroll (horizontal) direction is jet propelled- one click is about a yard. Reminds me of trying to squeeze off a single round on my machinepistol...

  16. material collector for vp540i.

A custom built profile is better than tweaking canned ones of course, If you are using Roland spot color replacement, I think the rip does not use the profile. In any case if it is tacky for over a few minutes, something is drastically wrong.
  17. New computer, should i go XP or Windows 7

How much RAM can W7 use- 32bit? Gene
  18. material collector for vp540i.

That can be a function of your ink / profile. I use Triangle inx that seem to dry faster than eco-sol and profile in house to control the ink limits while still getting great color. Also have a small (8") fan blowing across the vinyl out of the printer to aid drying.
  19. VP-540 leaking inks to drain bottle overnight.

Look at the capping station- there is a spongy thing retained by a wire in the middle- if that sponge gets old and expands to touch the print head, I think it will wick ink out of the head and fill the bottle. I read somewhere that there are 2 layers of the sponge- some people pull out the...
  20. Need a Publisher file coverted to PDF please!

Hi Doc- do you know if PSP works? I follow the link to a page with a link to an other page- and cannot find where to go from there. Publisher and these publisher people are driving me crazy. Tried printing to a pdf- all screwed up. Patience is running low today, I am afraid. Gene PS- if I...
