there are some other options that may actually work better for you since the client is not going to be using a letter/number set.
you may just want to get some extrusion or fashion something yourself such as a strip of aluminum cut to say 5/8" and cover half of the backside of that with vhb...
i sleep much better at night using both mechanical and chemical fasteners.
since it is indoors you really are not limited by substrate. depending on the design i might even use a nice sheet of plywood framed with crown...if you dont want to get that carried away and knowing nothing of the...
not sure about the tedious work part as it has always gone pretty quick and smooth for this kid.
what i do is layout where i want the track by making a few strategically placed lines with a stabillo on the substrate then i lay the track in place and utilize the letters as spacers to ensure...
honest as can be i had a client years ago order a set of magnetics. had his wife pick them up and he called me hte next day flipping out because the mags wouldnt stick to his car...we went and checked our roll of material no problem.
guy was busy and couldnt make it in for a couple of days...
ok this is funny to me. i remember 'route whatever he calls himself these days' posting a similar problem and getting responses to the contrary from it seems some of the same ppl that are saying not to 'spread the wealth'...

for the record i'm not in favor of 'sharing' my...
if you have read Donald Trumps 'the art of the deal' he actually describes a sales technique of giving the lowest price to get clients to sign the contract allowing you to do the work and then upselling them through change orders with different specifications, materials, installation, etc...

the only safe way in my opinion to heat up glass is to allow it to heat up from the buildings heat indoors.
have the client crank the heat at the end of the day prior to installation and have them cook all morning long and show up for your installation at the warmest part of the day...
i agree with you Pat...i could care less..drugs, health...whatever...
it is sad though that someone so young has passed..just like many others have and will with much more life left to live.
i've met quite a few 'celebrities' and as long as they are not caught up in themselves they are...
great suggestion Jill for a tough design situation.
i say it often 'that ppl need to stop for a moment and think about how their logo/design choices impact how other ppl (their potential clients) view them' this is a textbook case of where someone got caught up in something that they...
just my opinion here. if 50% doesn't cover your material expenses you need to reevaluate your pricing.
if i had to estimate i would say that on average material costs are only about 15-25% of any project cost.
agreed in my opinion if you are hunting for a superstar you need to be prepared to compensate said superstar or they will be on the hunt for other employment...and superstars can find it.
if you post that listing one of my questions to anyone i interviewed would be related to something within...
myself if it is a sign project that i have to go out of town to install/deliver/oversee/etc (or more often the client demands it) i am making so much profit that the cost of hotel and dinner really doesnt enter the equation..i'm probably going to take the client out for dinner anyways. if it is...

every shop should have one. i looked at both of those links and they are different from the ones that i have seen..but it is really simple technology. some of them have changeable dies and in some cases the dies can cost almost as much as the machine.
my family had a signshop that had been in business for 77 years when i left...it was the absolute best thing i ever did (leaving). about 5yrs after that it was ran into the dirt.
i have employed my brother multiple times....that also means that i have had to fire him multiple times. that...
