    Maybe narrow the stripe as it approaches the front, and this might give you more flexibility for the curve? It would need to be plotter cut as a "taper" though. Can your machine track a fair distance accurately?

    Robbie, have you tried rasterizing? Import a bitmap with gradients and print it from Flexi. Is it better than a gradient created in and sent straight from Flexi to printer?
