wow that is really neat...unfortunately being straight and lined up aren't demonstrated. But like someone else said if you want to throw a graphic down in an arbitrary spot then it looks great
We certainly wouldn't want to get run out of town...thanks for all the responses...
I guess it comes down to now...where do you guys go to find cheap poster paper that will make this crazy idea work?
I know Nglantz has some cheap poster paper...I think they call it B-line
I mean it works...just looks kinda crappy and it is def putting down too much ink for the paper...I wonder if there is another media I can tell it that it is that uses less ink..
We are sharing a building with a newspaper press company...they recycle what they call butt rolls of 150+ft of newsprint paper because they are too small to use. We are attempting to print on them with the idea of selling to supermarkets and such for weekly specials...no material cost to...
Its hard to tell what resistance you should be feeling but when we did it, it was obvious.
(of course we had another plotter to compare it to.)
The graphtec guy told us to try that.
Also I mashed a spring a bit so that it wasn't so tight..and we made it out without having to buy a new...
We had the same problem with our graphtec fc 8000...turns out the blade did not spin freely in the blade holder..
Test it out by taking it out and trying to spin the blade around with your finger...there should be no resistance whatsoever.
Of course I take no responsibility for you cutting...
Its an RS-640. It has two power buttons, one is subpower..the on button
The other is the physical rocker switch in the back.
Do we need to leave it on or turn it off at the end of the day? I know some printers perform maintenance or some such at night.
we are using versaworks that came with it..got all the updates. Sent a parrot then some colored circles...the only thing it will print is black.
What would be making the ink not go into the print heads. They couldn't be dry already...especially since they were soaked with cleaning fluid when...
We just bought a used....Versaart rs 640 at the SGIA expo in New orleans.
We got it in..It had cleaning fluid in the lines. I used a Syringe to pull the ink to the dampers and filled them. It wont print CMY. So basically we have an expensive Greyscale printer. Why wouldn't the ink come through...
We recently bought a new cutting strip. The overcut only goes up to .035 on the control panel, I had been using overcut on flexi which defaults at .100
I just ran a test with the .035 on the plotter and .100 on flexi. (kinda rough but weeded better)
I will now try just the plotter
