Digitally print cast vinyl and use cast UV overlaminate.
Mount on aluminum/pvc boards and your signs will last a good 8-10 years.
For graffiti. Either lam again with anti graffiti lam or install a 1/8" clear acrylic overtop.
With no experience with anti-graffiti lam my concern would be...
Hi Guys.
Got an old Roland SC-500 that i would like to get rid of. Condition is not the greatest since it has not printed much in the last two years.
I have been pumping it daily but it has been sitting idle for the last month and now print tests are not that good.

Tell customers that you can accept their photo images but if a vector conversion is needed there will be an additional charge. (i go from 65.0$ to 85.00$ depending on complexity).
You can add value to that charge by informing the customer that you will give...

I have my VS 540 and my SC-500 hooked up to one
My production pc and laser engraver hooked into the second one.

That's what i do also. And my offsite backup is a dual mirrored drive so i actually have two copies off site!!
I also backup the Windows image file. I do that whenever i update or upgrade my software.
You can never have enough backups!!
Edge media clamps should solve your issues with banding at the edges.
For the center tunneling. That is very common at the start of printing on media. Just advance your vinyl another 4-5 inches or so and the tunnel should go away.
In my best Schwarzenegger voice ... IT'S NOT A BORDER !
In all honesty, reducing the thickness by 25% would make it much better. It still would have presence without overpowering everything else.
Scrap vinyl goes in the trash.
The miles and miles of 54" backing paper coming from the laminator we use to cover our table tops with, wrap packages, put on the floor underneath the printers when we are cutting stuff (to lazy to sweep so we just put a paper lenght down ... lol)
