  3. Long Lasting Outdoor Signage

Digitally print cast vinyl and use cast UV overlaminate. Mount on aluminum/pvc boards and your signs will last a good 8-10 years. For graffiti. Either lam again with anti graffiti lam or install a 1/8" clear acrylic overtop. With no experience with anti-graffiti lam my concern would be...

Hi Guys. Got an old Roland SC-500 that i would like to get rid of. Condition is not the greatest since it has not printed much in the last two years. I have been pumping it daily but it has been sitting idle for the last month and now print tests are not that good. Heads have two years of...

Make it part of your services. Tell customers that you can accept their photo images but if a vector conversion is needed there will be an additional charge. (i go from 65.0$ to 85.00$ depending on complexity). You can add value to that charge by informing the customer that you will give...

You could have done a hack job and just take off the letters and leave the left over glue on the door :thumb:
  9. Flexisign with GeForce or Quadro?

I would like to add... Are you optimizing your files as well? For what you are producing .. Do you need everything at 300 DPI? So many times i receive files that are over 1 gigabyte in size and all i am printing is a 24"x48" sign. (I am exaggerating but you get my gist).
  10. 2 layer acrylic letters?

You can get that polished finish by user a laser system with a gas hook up. Can't remember which gas it is but it does produce a flame finish on acrylic edges.

  12. Have insurance! Have offsite backups!! PLEASE!

That's what i do also. And my offsite backup is a dual mirrored drive so i actually have two copies off site!! I also backup the Windows image file. I do that whenever i update or upgrade my software. You can never have enough backups!!
  13. Orajet instead of Arlon having problems

Edge media clamps should solve your issues with banding at the edges. For the center tunneling. That is very common at the start of printing on media. Just advance your vinyl another 4-5 inches or so and the tunnel should go away.
  14. Signs101 site layout

    That's hilarious!!! :ROFLMAO:
  15. New logo before moving

In my best Schwarzenegger voice ... IT'S NOT A BORDER ! In all honesty, reducing the thickness by 25% would make it much better. It still would have presence without overpowering everything else.
  16. What do you do with your Paper and Vinyl waste?

Scrap vinyl goes in the trash. The miles and miles of 54" backing paper coming from the laminator we use to cover our table tops with, wrap packages, put on the floor underneath the printers when we are cutting stuff (to lazy to sweep so we just put a paper lenght down ... lol)
  17. What vinyl do you use for dibond signs?

I always use Oracal 3651 and 210 laminate. Prints great, lasts a long time.
