First of all. What speed are you cutting at?
I would slow it down to about 10 cm/sec for starters.
That should eliminate the material getting caught up, as you can manage it as it cuts.
I seem to remember hearing that worn pinch rollers will cause the material to go off track too.
Also, make...
doing something totally different sounds good to me... something will come to me, i don't doubt that. i just wanted to hear what others do... because maybe the answer isn't business related at all.
That's a great way to look at it
I am hoping to find a Roland service tech that travels to Thunder Bay, Ontario. (probably out of Winnipeg MB)
I bought a used SP-300V from Calgary in the spring.
The thing has worked fine up to now, and still is working great.
I just would like some contact info for if/when it does have a...
It's interesting to hear someone look back where I am unable to. Been in business for myself only 5 months. I really have no frame of reference.
However, I must ask the question of is it the people around you changing or could it be you? Although I don't know you, my guess would be both.
As...
It would be great to see such a shift, but that takes effort. Unfortunately history has proven that the collective population doesn't usually do well at mass movements even if they are a great idea.
For years I thought of a movement to boycott one bank, insurance company and oil company per...
I was looking for suggestions on downforce settings for cutting 210 laminated over Oracal 3165 on my Versacamm SP-300V, but was unsuccessful in getting useful info for a starting point.
Well I found a good combo that I wanted to share for future searches.
I've been using 130 grams of downforce...
hater
A label applied to people who are more negative than positive when discussing another person. It most commonly refers to individuals whose negativity is so extreme that it is all-consuming. However, there are various levels and forms of being a hater, ranging from...
I bought a Used Versacamm SP-300V for $5,000
Haven't had issues with it after 5 months. Even if I have to spend 2-3 grand on it over the next year or two, I'm still way ahead of the game. Glad I bought used, but it's always a gamble. Make sure you can see it in action before you buy, otherwise...
+1 For Glass. It's hard to scratch and can be used for cutting, laminating, masking, holdng coffee etc.
I actually didn't know that cutting mats had a lifespan so short. Iv'e never used or even seen one.
Doesn't sound familiar, so probably not if it's sailboat as I know most of them, although we have a large fleet of both power and sail up here so it's certainly possible.
What a surprise! A fellow from the UK praising F1.
(just kidding)
I'd rather watch racing instead. The F1 Cars are safer, but those cars outgrew most of the tracks they race on many many years ago. I'm not a fan of most open wheel pavement racing, except the lower ranks like 3000 and similar.
No thanks on the 54". I think I'd want to climb up on the table for that.
I work on a 4x8 glass top table so it's a good surface and I'm 6'-3" so arm length isn't a problem either. Just a little more time on the tool is required I guess.
But I just did a run of a dozen prints and I can feel it...
I'm only using a 30" BS so it is possible, but an extra set of hands sounds like a good solution.
Glad to get some feedback that tells me that it is just the limitation of the tool with the lam i'm using.
Looks like I need to make room for a laminator sooner than I thought.
Thanks!
