  5. waterbased or solvent/eco-solvent for outdoor prints?

All of you posters who do not want to help, why answer? Please consider this: If I wanted to "learn the sign business first" I would have to work for someone in my area first, have them train me on the business, and then leave them to move down the street and then start competing with them (and...
  6. window perf

First of all, I would suggest you take windex out of your install kit and never mention it again. Try using Isopropyl Alcohol to clean with. May not be the cause of this particular problem, but it may be in the future. Also, I had a problem with a farmed out laminate job for a wall mural. The...

  8. Rest easy Dan Wheldon

My thoughts are with his family, friends and competitors. We all strap ourselves into our cars a little tighter when we climb in after losing a member from the racing family no matter what the level or discipline. Rest easy Dan and God bless.

  11. Blade Depth Or Downforce?? Please Help

I am trying to cut an intricate (tree) design on 3551 with 210 lam. on a Versacamm SP300V. I am sending test cuts through and they are not working. The sharp corners are lifting and not cutting through all the way. I've tried about 20 tries with no luck. I ran the range of blade force...

  15. Did I Pooch This?

Amen to that. A attempt at a quick fix from a combined 8,000 or so years of experience here, or fold it up and throw it out. Once it's in the garbage the remorse is over. It's a $1,200 job, so the $10 in waste is not so bad (if it doesn't start compounding)
  16. Did I Pooch This?

I found a bunch of specs in the job log. Can I use this info to cut somehow?
  17. Did I Pooch This?

I closed the program since, so control Z will not work. Does Cont. Z have an infinate number off undos? If so that would have worked.
  18. Electric Vinyl Removers

I have not tried the electric remover tool, but I have used that style eraser on a drill and it only made a mess with bits of eraser stuck to everything. The chrome vinyl has proven a real p.i.t.a. to remove. I found the plastic blade and a heat gun works the best. Too much heat though and off...
  19. Did I Pooch This?

I just printed 5' print on my SP300V with reg. marks to cut after laminating. Using Flexi Plus with Production Manager I then proceeded to move a bunch of things around and did not save it the way I printed it. Does anyone know if I can revert back somehow to save the prints? Or did I just...
  20. Electric Vinyl Removers

I am doing a fleet of vehicles with old chrome decals to be removed. Each truck door takes about a half hour. I am using the plastic razor blades with a little bit of heat. The trick is changing them almost every 2-3 minutes to keep a sharp edge to save a lot of time.
