  1. Are the Daige Quickmounts really that bad?

That's funny you mention the weeder/sheeter...we used to use it for masking but found out it works just as well for laminating. SERIOUSLY - I installed calendared laminate in it and use it all the time. I have cast lam in the Daige 4 and it works fine now that I got it figured out. I don't use a...
  2. Is It Slow For Everyone or Is IT Me?

It would have been smart to contract the previous owner staying around a while during the transition. That helps put the customer at ease - seeing the former owner still around. Good luck!
  3. Is It Slow For Everyone or Is IT Me?

Don't plan on the building trades to continue to be strong even if they are going strong currently locally. Diversify your clients but focus your strengths in the business. It's not a good move to relocate a local business after only 2 months ownership - but you have now found that out. You...
  4. Can You..in Flexi..

Eye candy works great! That's what we use often. Do a search and you may be able to down load a 30 day trial??? Also as DRP said - do it in photoshop, save as flattened tiff and import into Flexi. Flexi opens photoshop files as well.
  5. sp-540 head soak

Sorry...I should have caught that - I was in a hurry and didn't read it thoroughly. Right on.
  6. sp-540 head soak

Just what Graph said. It's good news that those capping stations drain when you put cleaning solution in them if you don't pinch the lines first.
  7. Cheap Panel Saw

Sorry, I wouldn't mess with the time or liability of building a homemade saw. I'll just buy one when I get serious enough.

Welcome... Good to see you here! Get your merchant membership asap if you are going to pushing your wares in these parts. If you don't, it may be a short existence.
  9. Noise around print

Did you have a head strike? I think you may need a head. IMO You may find it is time to hire a Roland tech to get it repaired correctly.
  10. Photoshop and Wide Format printing

I use Flexi 90% of the time but own, Corel and Photoshop as well. I am trying to find the time to learn Photoshop due to the growth of the printing side of the business and the lack of bitmap editing options in Flexi.
  11. Print Problem - Ink Clogg?

The capping station could be the CAUSE but it will not clear the nozzles if they are plugged. So...even if you change the capping station you still need further work. Possibly a head, dampers, etc... It may be time to call a technician. Any Roland dealer can get the parts you may need.
  12. Can NOT import eps to flexi sign pro

Flexi won't open an ai or eps file if it is too new of a format. I don't remember which version I couldn't open a few months ago...needed the provider to save in an older version and the file opened right up.
  13. Roland PC 600 Color Cam

A PC-600 can be a great machine. It completely depends on what you are wanting to do with it.
  14. Newbie Getting Beat up!

Make sure you are not beating yourself up by not charging enough to make a profit and cover costs. Fellers is a great supplier.
  15. Print Problem - Ink Clogg?

Did you have a head strike??? if not, you can disconnect a tube at the pump and use a syringe to pull ink through the ink tube to make sure you don't have an air pocket. If not, it may need capping stations...mine started doing this after a year and the capping stations weren't sealing the...
  16. What is this worth?

Obviously I don't know much about a Gerber BUT WHAT THE HECK IS A fixle?
  17. What is this worth?

I also think we should give newbies somewhat of a break...many don't know they should introduce themselves. It may take many months of watching us "trained professionals" discuss the technical aspects or our profession before they even have the guts to post. Then some of us come on here and...
  18. New to here but not the business

OK...this topic is killing me... Can we please quit discussing the weather in Florida and get on with the boring welcomes?
