So much of the supply issues are more product driven. Promotional products imported from China. They're just sitting on ships off the coast. The lead time isn't in decorating, it's in getting supplies.

I see most shops in the sign and print industry being in $150-$250k per employee. 500k for a one man shop would be impressive.
Lots of automation and outsourcing I would imagine, or a small number of very large artistic products that require lots of contractors maybe?
We're only about 30, and most everyone here has their shot, but I am curious what it's like throughout our industry in larger organizations.

I agree with Gino here. Reputation is everything. It's the reason some shops will command $1500 for a job while others complain their customer's don't want to pay $500 for the same work.
