Hi Eric- looks like the 'snow' is only 3 different patterns- shouldn't be too
tough- send it over if you want me to vectorize it.
YES- THIS IS MEANT IN GOOD CLEAN FUN- I LIKE TVD AND APPRECIATE
HIS GOOD AND PROMPT WORK:biggrin::biggrin:
We actually do quite a few paint masks and decals for these old planes. I
made a set of Numbers/letters up for my own use and a nice man on the
letterhead board created a font from it and called it Warbird Classic. I gave
it to him and I think he has it on his site for free. but I...
Chris- what is the white point like on 3165? I use a lot of 3651 but don't
like the gray-ness of the white. Also 3551 as long as I am asking (begging)
Thanks Gene
Chris- a heads up- I have the Buffalo Link station (250Gig I think) and my
tech guy who set it up for me was so impressed he bought the Buffalo Terra-
whatever and hated it. I don't remember what the problems were but he
ended up getting rid of it. So do your due diligence. Gene
When we hired a new installer a couple of years ago she kept asking for one
so I bought the 18"(or20") set of 2. She uses them constantly and we have
save many hundreds of dollars on premask. They don't work for everything-
but once you get on to them they are a real time & money saver. And...
Don't ValueJets have a self cleaning function? On my VersaCamm it goes to
sleep (power button blinks) and comes awake once a day to clean the heads.
I have left it for a couple of weeks at a time and did not even have to do a
head clean to start printing again. I use Triangle inks by the by. Gene
I am quite sure that Nu-sign is pricing Mimaki wipers- that is what they use
for their Triangle Inks- and Fellers has boxes of 10 (mimaki) for 35.99 USD.
The mimakis are superior to the Roland wipers, I have used them since my
300V was a pup.
I have not heard of 7.7- I thought they went from 7.6 to 8.0?
Thanks for the replies- I just struggled with doing a bleed on some gradient
flames that wasted at least 2 hours- I have been forcing myself to use 7.6-
I went back and did the same job in 5.7 in about 10 min. I am not sure that...
How can I set preferences for local features- for instance contour cut, outlines, step and repeat - so that they will be consistent every time I
open a file or reopen the program? Fpro 5.x had a save all preferences that
served that function. Thanks Gene
I am using Fpro 7.6v2. I have been playing with the graphic styles feature
and can get it to work to some extent. It seems to save effects like shadows
but when I try to save a contour-cut it always does the same thing no matter
what I save. I can save a -.02 or a +.02 contour and always get...
Second the Gerber Edge/cutter combo- but it is fairly expensive- you might
want to farm the decals out for a while. Are you not concerned about Honda
looking askance at producing there decals? Gene
When I save a file with say a tiff in it- where does the bitmap go? Is there
a way to tell where the BM has been saved by selecting it? Aren't they embedded? But they have to be somewhere don't they? I am confused- which
is not a uncommon state- just starting to use 7.6 extensively after...
The last time I talked to Triangle they were working on it. When they have
Mild solvent for the Valuejet I may switch from my VersaCamm- but not before!
