I currently use F5.7 for estimating, printing and saving invoices. This has
some limitations of course- being 10 years or so old. One of the reasons that
I have bought upgrades right along (up to version 8 that is) is I know that
it is a very capable program... but... I still prefer the old...
Anyone recognize either the 'campground' or 'hot spot' fonts. Thanks Gene
edit: I have heard rumors that one is 'scribble'- but the similarly named fonts that I have found do not look like this.
I use 7.6v2 to setup .eps files for printing- I actually rip with softrip. There
must be a way to set a halftone??? I hope. There is a 'shade' selector in
Fill editor- gradient fills- advanced- but it is always grayed out. Thanks Gene
Started in tech school for electronics- loved computers- took a year of programming (think fortran / bitran- ancient 1966 languages)- started a sign
shop with my daughter with no experiance at all in 1997- and never looked back. I love this business and it has been very good to us. Gene:cool1...
Thanks for the comments- when you do a bleed/contour in 5.7 (or even in the relatively primitive Omega for that matter) it actually increases the bleed area by however much you choose- if you do a negative contour in 7.6, you are reducing whatever border / outline / shadow that you are...
I have had flexi since 5.5 and have upgraded every step of the way...
but never used the 6.0-7.x enough to be comfortable with it. Now I use it
to set up .eps files for our Vcamm 300 and really miss being able to do a proper bleed cut- or am I missing something? Thanks Gene
I did 2 years of electronics training in 1965-6 and a year of programing (fortran, bitran etc) after that. Worked in the Aerospace electrical industry until we landed on the moon. Restored / repaired / constructed Corvettes and street rods for 30 years. Bought equipment 8 years ago and recv'ed...
Royal Sov laminators also offers a $2k rebate if you buy a Roland printer. I
have read good & bad about the RS laminator- but that gets it down to $4k
for a 41"- gotta be better than a Daige or Kim Chee (Korean one- forget the
name)? Is there a better laminator for approx $4k? Thanks Gene
Finally got around to loading 7.6v1 (pro) and now it will only allow one
program open at one time. I am running on 98se- a new puter. Have you
experienced this? Thanks Gene
We are using an old Umax 1200s (SCSI) which I would like to replace with
a USB scanner for ease of hookup. But we really need a legal size scanner.
Any advise? Thanks Gene
I keep running into this font. I must be the only one that doesn't know what
it is? I like it- but don't have anything quite like it. Thanks Gene :thankyou:
