  6. SP-300V Cutting issue

Set up the "color blobs" when doing the layout. Then we set the CutContour stroke over the "color blobs". We do a final check in VW just to make sure where things are landing. Works a treat.
  7. GBC TITAN 1264 heater wont stop

Sounds like a bad thermistor or thermocouple since temp is not being controlled.
  8. SP-300V Cutting issue

THIS^^^^ We learned the "color blob" method years ago to prevent any white showing on cuts. Much better to spend a few cents extra on ink than having to redo the job.

This should work: http://www.clearfocus.com/products/perforated-vinyl-films-uncoated/duovue/ I know there are others out there, but I can't remember the names right off hand.
  10. Manually Laminating Vehicle Wraps... Is it possible to master?

Laminating a buck a square foot for 8518 is cheap. I'd pay that all day long so I didn't have to laminate. May want to check into USTech laminators. A few members have them and are quite pleased with their performance.
  11. SP-300V Cutting issue

My 540V was all over the place a while ago. Found I couldn't do the needed calibrations because the rear Paper Interrupt sensor went bad. The sensor has absolutely nothing to do with cut quality, but if it burned out you can't do the necessary calibrations to help cutting. Neat how...
  12. Travel Rates

We don't have a bucket truck just a regular truck and station wagon. 40 bucks flat rate in town. Anything else gets charged at 45 per hour one hour minimum. When we travel I'm always thinking fuel, tires, oil changes, insurance, maintenance, chow stops etc...(makes my head hurt)
  13. Adding D rings to banners without sewing

If the client wants sewn hems or job requires sewing we go to a boat canvas shop or auto upholstery shop.
  14. Material Choice

We'll probably put a cable stay in the lower corner. Did that on the last one. Keeps the movement in check and adds another safety. Of course I had some street scum hang onto the last one I did until they ripped the ACM right off the mounts. Took less than a week.:frustrated: Second one...
  15. Material Choice

Flat is okay as long as the allowed square footage isn't exceeded.
  16. Material Choice

That would definitely make it light and I happen to have that in stock. Probably be a good idea to reinforce the holes for the hooks though.
  17. Material Choice

All good questions Gino. How and Where: Historical district for a photo studio. Two-sided. It will be hung perpendicular to the building on an iron bracket. Approximately 9' above the sidewalk and 15' from the first lane of traffic where the 25mph speed limit is merely a suggestion...
  18. Material Choice

The last sign I made like the attached picture was ACM. I'd like to know what others in the trade would use. Size will be 24" wide x 16" deep.
  19. Any body here do this?

Neat. When I lived up north a police officer used to do most of the stock cars. He could knock out single stroke letters almost as fast as you could write. Real treat to watch him work.
  20. Enjoying my new drone

Be nice to not have to use a ladder to survey attachment points on a tall building. Inspections would be a snap too.
