  2. Latest Firmware for Q130

We'll get you there, soon I hope. It's the weekend, so our staffing level is a smidge lower due to fewer calls. But they maybe be busy. So if you do not hear back soon, call me and I'll light a fire under someone. :^) Jim / 206.681.4164
  3. Latest Firmware for Q130

One caveat is that if your have the latest Q Series firmware, then you're good to go. Graphtec firmware would alter the model designations of the cutter. So our agreement requires we only flash Q Series firmware. I'm sure why, but some reasoning is behind it ... and well, you get a cutter...
  4. Latest Firmware for Q130

Hmmm? We marketing folks are a bit dim on tech stuff. So email to support@signwarehouse.com might be your best bet. The firmware is flashable, but there's a special software needed, I think. But tech should no what the steps are. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

  7. Blogging... what's that like?

How could I resist??? Dogs!!! Love 'em. Three here at my feet, right now. Gotta send pix!!! Can we add them to post on the blog? PS: kudos on the default WP look. Let the content be king!!!! The blog is just the container. :^) Best,
  8. Blogging... what's that like?

"Maybe you need a better content strategy." Perhaps, Jon. But it's not the content; indeed, I'd put Jerry Barrax at the top of the industry when it comes to product knowledge. People rave when getting his weekly newsletter, or he offers up a tip on our message board. I am in awe of Jerry...
  9. Blogging... what's that like?

I was joking!!! No sweat, Jon. I do not know of any need that's not being served by many others, including myself. It only seems like me, since I'm the mouthpiece ... when I'm not upsetting everyone by dissing what's popular. (Hmmm? "We" might need you after all!!!) It's all good, my...
  10. Blogging... what's that like?

"Does SignWarehouse ever engage marketing consultants?" No!!!! They have me!!! Don't even suggest that paying an aging and out-of-touch guy, full time, is a bad idea!!! My children are deadbeats. My girlfriend is high maintenance. Plus I am poor at managing my own spending!!!! ;^)
  11. Blogging... what's that like?

Hi Jon, Joe, all. Hey; I am not out to beat on vendors of Web services, nor make anyone who spent some bucks on one and/or invested time/effort/love into a blog feel bad. I'm just offering my 2 cents. And in re: the OP's question: blog or Facebook, I vote Facebook. Here's why: 1. Everybody...
  12. Blogging... what's that like?

"There's more to sales than just conversions." Sorry; was I raised poorly, apparently. At the of the month when we meet and hope to be employed the following month, sales ($) seems to be a real biggie on the talking-point list. Also when paying our Web dev service folks, they always ask for a...
  13. Blogging... what's that like?

I respect the heck out of you, too, Jon. So put me in touch: Beyond the theoretical, which you'll agree is a bit graying in the temples (social media is the new rage, and also a bit in the theoretical realm), whadaya got in terms of a success story? What sign company's blog is taking no...
  14. Blogging... what's that like?

Probably won't put your kids through college, iSign. But in terms of reward vs. time/money invested, Google Local is many more drops in the ocean than a locally hosted blog, IMO. Plus it's local, which most sign company's customers are, too. It's also free, making it probably the...
  15. Blogging... what's that like?

Simple test: 1. Spend months creating the blog to end all blogs, with a beautifully-written wrapper around all your best keywords, have compelling photos, add video -- win a design award!!! 2. Spend 20 minutes adding your company to Google Local (Maps) Track which puts more in the cash...
  16. Blogging... what's that like?

You can handle that with sitemaps. No biggy, and it lets Google et al know about change frequency. You'll be crawled and then ordered as one of the lucky millions and millions of folks with a Web site loaded up with words and pictures. Yeehaw. And unless you have high traffic already...
  17. Blogging... what's that like?

Hi Joe, Not trying to be a contrarian, but I am not seeing the benefit of aging a meaningful and hard-to-make work example by dating it in a blog-format. It may be tired, old information to us. But to the visitor, it's all new. Let it wow them -- and feel as fresh and relevant as possible...
  18. Seeking Advice/Help/Tips... & possibly a driver!

You should be fine. The good news is we cutter maker/selling folks are none too original. LOL Chances are ... Bits per second – 9600 Data Bits – 8 Parity – None Stop bits – 1 Flow Control - Xon/Xoff Good luck!!!
  19. Blogging... what's that like?

No argument. But typically it's a page like any page, on a Web site. (Example: http://www.microsoft.com/casestudies/) A blog post, typically, is ordered by the date the article (weblog) is added. It can be anything, including a case study. But would a peach -- i.e., Home Depot has problem X...
  20. Seeking Advice/Help/Tips... & possibly a driver!

That's typically the software driver (how to speak to the cutter). A device driver (what's attached and via what com method, port state) is also needed. USB driver (cutter maker supplied) is best, but a serial connection can be manually configured to the cutter's spec (in the manual or online...
