Who makes this "cast chrome vinyl'? I want to use it to cover the plastic switch bezels on my MG dash. The plastic chrome is way too easy to damage on the original and replacement bezels. I've only ever seem mylar/polyester(?) chrome film. It didn't work for the bezels. Couldn't get it to conform.
I'll drag it all into a pile over the weekend. I haven't used it in a while. I used it to make thousands of parts for small model airplane kit manufacturers (including myself) before the hobby died.
Here is a link to a kit for a simple diy vac-former. Still more complicated that mine. I like to keep things simple.

Sandblasting sucks. It's really nasty. You'll get sand stuck in places you didn't know you had. I hate doing it. Especially if it's hot. I'd sub it out if I could. Buy a router instead.
My guesses: Wrong blade, bunged up holder or off set's wrong.
Could also be off gassing, static electricity, demonic possession or poltergeists.
What have you tried?
Cringe away.
Here we see a section of Emperor Trajan's column with the interesting bits circled. Apparently they were a little more flexible with their kerning in the second century.
