If they are giving you a MS Office file you can bet they haven't the skillz to PDF it.
I convert to PDF, email it back for approval then go from there.
It's a pain but better than hearing them squeal about horrendous font substitution.
We use a profiled CMYK workflow nearly all the time.
Onyx RGB input profiles seem to give weird posterisation in certain files.
If we get a signage job where matching anything is not important we send CMYK art and run without ICC profiles as Eye4 has suggested.
Listen to eye4clr people - he...
I've had Postershop for years and added on the profiling module and additional printers. Cost a bomb when you add it up but got there in the end. If you plan to profile yourself and want to allow for growth, go Production House.
The only reason to get Onyx10 is if 7 doesn't have drivers for your printer.
I run 4 printers off 7 and see no reason to upgrade.
Cutserver works fine although you will need a standalone vinyl cutting program.
Weird. Just a thought - maybe the blockout sells slower so is older than the clear, making it harder?
As I said we use a lot of the clear adhesive.
It cuts well and never buckles up on our XJ-740 no matter what heat we run it at.
I doubt it's a head.
The headstrike may have something to do with it.
As Bill suggested, reboot the printer and run the image quality test print 1.
That will show how the heads are firing.
Wipe the encoder strip, lube the rails.
Could possibly be a belt on it's way out.
We use a lot of LG polymeric and monomeric.
Never had an issue with it.
Prints well, cuts well and is priced right.
We use Roland Soljets, Bordeaux inks.
