  2. Black overspray

Well...the verdict is in. my black/blue head was bad! I gambled and had him change it...I agree, it really stinks that I had to make the call and eat the labor even if his guess was wrong. However, his guess was correct but I could have even done that. Come to find out later my employee...
  3. Black overspray

Today is Wednesday. Tech finally showed up TODAY. he thinks it is a head but is unsure...if I have him replace it my bill for labor is two hours; if it is not the head, my bill will be for 4 hours. R & R. My heads have very little print time on them...does this sound correct?
  4. SP540 cutting by cropmark problem

I agree with Cinemasign - It will do this everytime if your panel size OR position is different from when you printed. This can easily be the case since you are cutting next day. Dont' ask me how I know...;-)

  15. Daige 4 Laminator Question

I have the 55" Daige and love it - never a problem once I sprayed wd40 on the rear table. I keep a can right next to the laminator and spray a little on when it starts to get dry. I've never used the kraft paper but have seen others use it and it gets wrinkles. I just insert a short piece os...
  16. flexi 8

Make sure you save often enough and what are you doing when this happens? You can actually set up the default in Flexi to save every "so many minutes".
  17. No yellow or magenta on test print with SP 300

YES!!! Leave the main power on always as long as there is ink in the lines. When I had my issues it was after my wife accidently turned the main power off for a long weekend as well. cd - we keep the machine very clean - we manually clean maybe every other week (not real...
  18. No yellow or magenta on test print with SP 300

I still say it sounds like capping stations that are not sealing and the nozzles are drying up. Clean the heads a few times - I think it will clear up. I had the same exact problem and after changing the capping stations I had no more problem with nozzles drying up. My sp300v was 8 months old...
  19. No yellow or magenta on test print with SP 300

Yes, nozzles dried out - you are probably overdue to change the capping stations. We had this happen until I changed mine - they can go bad within 6 months. You can also gently dab some cleaning solution on the nozzles of the head...JUST BE VERY CAREFUL AND DAB - DON'T WIPE. Then fill the...
