In my experience anything more than an hour seems to not help much. If it doesn't recover with an hour soak it most likely won't recover. I have soaked heads for days with no change. It all depends on if the nozzles are actually clogged or if they are physically damaged. Nothing you can do about...
Here in Colorado it's up to the municipalities. Some make their own and some buy from Sign Shops. Colorado Barricade is a private business who does very well serving these needs for local governments.
In that picture it is covered by the black heat sink. It is towards the edge of the board and is lower profile than the other fuses. It's labeled F2 or F3 I can never remember.
I don't work on HP or latex machines but that pattern looks exactly like when the machines I work on have electrical issues in the head signal circuit. Usually a bad cable but can be a bad head or other electrical board.
As a tech I have seen my fair share of shops. The cleanest shop I ever saw was In Las Vegas and the guy was extremely proud of the way he set the shop up. He could tell me how the air in the room was refreshed completely every 15 minutes, the exact rating of filters he used etc. That place was...
One trick I usually try on these 1204s when they have power issues is to remove the memory from the main board and clean the terminals. Then re-install. It sounds completely useless but it works a lot of the time. Other than that, you probably have a blown main board. Only way to know is to...
You probably just blew a fuse on the main board. The machine holds a charge even when unplugged and needs to be discharged before working on it.
Also just a note, if head ranks did anything important I would have 100's of machines in the field failing right now. I work on all the top brands...
Roland has always started these myths as a way to scare people into buying their heads and I think some dealers just believe them without question. They used to say that there were different tiers for head quality and they got all the tier A heads and everyone else got Bs and Cs which is...
We charge list price from Mimaki USA as a dealer which is right around the $3750 you were quoted. We don't sell this particular head directly to customers without installing it ourselves but probably will in the future. I don't blame you for wanting to save money especially when you see the...
Have you ever replaced this print head before? It's not as straight forward as Epson based printers so just be aware. It's always a hard choice when prices are this high. I have a customer who used to buy JFX200 heads from us and we would install them. He had one go bad within days and we were...
Network the computers. If your internet modem has multiple lan connections you can just connect both computers to that and then create a shared folder that you just drop the files into. If you don't have a multi port modem then you can go buy a switch for cheap and hook things up that way.
