Your best bet is to find out what kinda paint they used. Take YOUR favorite vinyl out and test it to see if it'll stick.

Then, he/she did it wrong or used the wrong kinda paint. The correct way to do it is to remove the door and take it somewhere to use whatever method of choice and do it under correct conditions.
