    avery HV1200 is approved for screenprinting. perhaps its dirty media.

    you can CREATE a spot color in either program - when you export (to eps usually) make sure that spot colors are NOT being converted to process you dont really 'synch' the two programs -design -export -import to RIP -print

    AFAIK it doesnt matter what ACTUAL color it is, as long as it is a SPOT color named CutContour

    Illustrator / Preflight colours don't match!

    the RIP is set to convert to CMYK using the profile. turn off color correction for a quick fix, or (if you can) tell it to print in K only mode instead of CMYK
