    Try a little brake fluid. Sounds crazy by I have saved a few panels doing it (thanks to Si Allen's suggestion). Of course, try it on a little area first.

    I've had good luck with a $50 walpaper steamer from Home Depot. Time consuming for sure, but effective. Remove the glue with Rapid Remover.
