  3. FONT? papyrus bold?

I say no to paying customers all the time. I made the conscious decision years ago that I only want to work with the types of customers that I enjoy working with. I don't make as much money as I could, but I'm 100% ok with that...
  4. FONT? papyrus bold?

Any client who insists on using Papyrus as a main font on ANYTHING gets handed the business card of one of my competitors and told that we are professionals - and therefore don't use Papyrus. Invariably, the same clients who love Papyrus also tend to be huge fans of Comic Sans.
  5. saying goodbye

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!!! Good post. That one made me laugh :)
  6. Anyone have trouble contacting Merritt?

Truth. I've never used Merritt, mostly because they are on the East Coast, and I'm in Ohio. That being said, I've been referred to them at least 10-12 times from people in this community that I have the utmost respect for. As a company that does some small scale local wholesale work myself, I...

It's not an "app" per-se, but SignTracker online is a really good product.
  11. Copyright - one time usage wording?

Or better yet, if they don't want to buy the rights to the artwork, tell them you will design their ad for them, and provide it to them at 96dpi at ad size in a JPG format. If they are willing to allow you to add the tag "branding designed by:xxxx" you will do the ad design at half-price :)
  12. Custom Flag Pricing

8'x? Sounds like you need to find some alternative vendors. That being said, we typically don't **** around with flag work for that reason. If your customers do not feel that the design work that you do is better than what they can come up with themselves, you either need to find new customers...
  13. Pretty Sweet!!

    Seriously? Wow....:banghead::omg2::help
  14. Pretty Sweet!!

Gino, basically, by dint of super-cooling the particles, they are able to "lock" a magnetic field. So, rather than just repel, or attract, the magnetic field can be stabilized in 3 dimensions, which allows for the object to "levitate" in a fixed position.
  15. First wrap - Fender Flairs Suck

I don't use calendared film on a vehicle unless the customer signs off on a waiver stating that they have been made aware that the vinyl being used will cause damage to their underlying paint when removed. And I NEVER wrap with calendared, unless it is short term (bus stuff).
  16. Pretty Sweet!!

    Sick...
  17. First wrap - Fender Flairs Suck

Well, they dont' really advertise it as a wrap solution. It is very clearly labeled as a permanent adhesive, calendared vinyl. Anytime you see the words "permanent" or "calendared", you should steer clear of using it on a vehicle. When wrapping with digital media, or anytime you are going around...
  18. window perf

Absolutely.. 1. Perf lays down better and stays down better when there isn't laminate there to trap air and dust during installation. 2. Without laminate, it is difficult to see through perf in the rain. With laminate, it is difficult to see through perf at all times. 3. Regardless of what...
  19. Copyright - one time usage wording?

You do know that you can provide a PDF with a raster file embedded, and you can also "lock" the PDF for one time use, right?
  20. window perf

I know that people will start pelting me when I say this, but unless your state requires it, DO NOT LAMINATE PERF!!!!!!!!
