I know there is a more scientific approach for your specific equipment, and I am sure someone helpful will chime in, but I don't there there is a more tried and true method than printing a huge swatch of colors and picking what you or your customer thinks is the brightest.

Cloud backup is very useful. We use gsuite. Have local Nas drives with raids pushing backups to the cloud.
Every once in a while, download some of the really important stuff at home or save it to a thumb drive for added redundancy.
