If you're willing to look hard enough and be flexible about travel times and you're willing to take twice as long to get there you'd be amazed at the travel deals you can find.
I used to belong to a website that would post last minute travel bargains. They'd post round trip airfare to Paris...
Sounds like they've already dealt with another shop who wrote the specs on what the sign needed to be and now they're getting other bids on the same material.
....and there's a possibility that somebody just made up the material specs.
You know, technically if you sell them a used sign face...
1/8" PVC will buckle. The signs are long and skinny, a couple of months hanging and they'll start to look wavy. Plus, I think the look the 1/2" foam core offers outweighs the minimal weight difference between 1/8" PVC and 1/2" foam core.
Woo hoo....first post in the INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT AND TECHNIQUES SECTION!
I've got to do a set of signs for a small store that will hang from the ceiling and identify different sections. The original plan was to use 1/2" PVC but as the project has progressed and the sign sizes have gotten...
Have you looked at them? We had a roll of magnetic a while ago where the manufacturers white vinyl wasn't adhering to the magnetic well. When the vinyl we applied would shrink slightly it was lifting the white surface up with it.
Yeah, that's what I hear....lol. I haven't figured out how to do that yet, either. One of these days work will slow down and I can get on that. The letters are so bold they can really only be used as a main copy font so I just type them in then kern them manually.
Dude, don't be a dick.
I went through this last winter when I started working on a Copperplate Black font that I couldn't find anywhere. The font is created I just haven't found the 15 hours to define the kerning pairs yet.
Here's what I found:
There is a way to do it through Corel Draw but...
Friday morning the paint was only slightly sticky so I just ran with it figuring I could just tell people not to lean against it (only the outside was painted) It was 15 degrees warmer outside than it was the day before. Put on the rubber gloves and got all the panels mounted.

The problem I've always found with posting prices is it eliminates the opportunity to explain to the customer why your prices are higher (if they are) and doesn't give you to opportunity to make suggestions on products that would better fit their need.
I think that's what I'm going to do, plus put them in the heated part of the building. Just thought to go check where it had dripped on the floor and the streaks from being walked through are still tacky so I'm hoping it's just a temperature thing.
Plus, there are ten 4x8 panels....no way I'm...
