these craft people have a place in this world and one I am glad of 'cause it keeps them from calling me. we did one wall saying. we did it because the woman is our bank rep. I had to draw and re-draw this horrid thing so many times, I wanted to throw up. "can I see it with a script font"...
yep, that's how it's done. it looks great on a sign background. what looks really nice is to gold leaf some dimensional letters and stud munt them to the sign. if you do that, stick some studs into the drilled holes before you apply the smalt so you can find them after. it works better than...
I'm glad these people are out there as it keeps people from calling and wanting some dumba$$ saying for their wall and having to listen to the gasp when they hear it won't cost $5. they can have that market!
congrats!!! your little girls are so cute! enjoy every day as it goes by so fast. mine just turned 31 on Oct 9th and it seems like just yesterday that she was my little newborn baby girl.
I missed that this is a prototype. charge them to reset for printing the sample and go for it. without seeing what you are dealing with, you can try taking off all the cut lines in the file, setting it on the shape that will be the decal and in plot, click on backing/finish down on the bottom...
I have to agree with those who suggested subbing it out. I've got an Edge, but use Gill Studios for long runs as it comes in cheaper. how many are you making? if it is a really small run, get the parts of the layout as separate files and merge them yourself or re-do the whole thing.
the "art" with the other shops name on it is just that, their design. if it has a shop name on it in anyway, it isn't yours or the customers to to use anyway you want to. if a customer purchased a design, they would come in with ready for production files, not a PDF with a shop drawing.
I've been polled many times (not the way you think). we just got a call on the weekend and hubby hung up. I usually will answer the questions. you can usually tell who and what by the questions. I've also been pulled when walking thru a local mall to answer some questions.
I've seen worse, at least the photo kind helps tell what the company does. what would help is to have the copy that says "Rolling/sliding/folding shutters" bigger so that when people see the photo, they see what those things are. as it stands now, the photo doesn't support the message very...
he did a nice job! there is one that I just love that has a cut out area at the top with a little mole on a swing..kind of vague discription I know but it is just so cool looking. it is at a store just as you come into Kennebunkport from Wells on 9A.
not loving any of the fonts so far. that last one might be OK but needs some work. find an upper case "G" that looks like a G and not a big lower case G. that won't be easy as a lot of script fonts don't have a G like looks like a G. you might have to marry two fonts to get that but it will...
there are a lot of rich people in that area so there will be some names some might know. now back to the signs, I wonder if she had a nice sign? I'd love to know if anyone on our site makes some of those signs around that area as they are show pieces. not only in Kennebunk & Kennebunkport but...
it's Kennebunk, not Kennebrook. it is a really nice place to go sign looking. it also looked like they had some shots of signs in Kennebunkport which is the snotty upscaled town nearby. there are some really great signs there too. a lot of carved & gold leaf. one of my favorites has copper...
