    We dont have Mutoh, but have Mimaki printers and we have all our heads set on high, never get anymore head strikes, and the quality is still there. Seems like all printers coming from Japan, there manuals are most often backwards or missing words you have to guess what they really mean

    They were BSing you, I never heard that before. They just want you to use there inks, As long as you clean out the lines good you can switch inks when ever you like. Our first printer was a Roland CJ-500 and the tech told me not to use bulk ink, that things like that can happen, at the time...

    The more ram you have the smoother things will go with printing & designing. 4 gig ram is the normal. We use 16GB ram,2- 500gb HDD in our one cpu just for printing no designing, all other cpu 8GB, all using XP-Pro. I heard alot of gliches in Vista Business, I'd stay away from it

    Conley, Is one of your colours almost empty? We don't have a Mutoh, but our Mimaki printer did something to that effect, only with the cyan was printing dk. blue, we changed the cart and the problem was solved.
