  1. VJ 1204 Brand new poor color quality

Hi, Did you get it from us? (SignWarehouse) If so, you can call 800.699.5514. Support folks will be here until 11pm tonight, CST. Thanks,
  2. GS6000 Epson = Mutoh?

Now back to our regularly scheduled program ... Espon GS6000. Is wider gamut on the wish-list, or is it speed / cost-reduction most important?
  3. GS6000 Epson = Mutoh?

I knew we'd find common ground eventually :^) Thanks, SJ!
  4. GS6000 Epson = Mutoh?

I think the best approach is to make intelligent choices based on what's currently available. No one, I'm aware of, has come out of the gates with a gem, save one: Gerber EDGE. If your assertion is that a marginal product should blacklist a company forever, I'm guessing Roland would disagree...
  5. GS6000 Epson = Mutoh?

Agreed, Adam. And it should be clarified that Falcon printers are not I2/Wave printing capable. Wave printing is a Mutoh ValueJet / Espon GS6000 / SignWarehouse PrismJet VJ thing.
  6. GS6000 Epson = Mutoh?

No argument, SJ. I'm an advocate for the products we - have chosen to - sell. So it's a given that I'll extole what I believe are unique Mutoh advantages, in the light of day (identifying myself). My point is that if I owned a Roland, I would not respond as you have. I'm sure it's a fine...
  7. Fc 8000

Again, I don't want to assume. But what is the source of your information / misinformation? (Yeah; you're spreading both. Mostly the latter.) To clarify, Vinyl Express Q Series cutters do have flashable ROMs (read: we can upgrade the firmware) In addition, we can and do cut sandblast...
  8. GS6000 Epson = Mutoh?

Thanks Jiarby, it's always fun to agree :^) But, maybe even more fun to diagree :^))))))) (with Spynergy Jim that is) SJ, what is it with all the rabid Roland-apologist stuff that seems latch onto every discussion, even Epson v Mutoh dicussions???? Mutoh users seem to be content...
  9. GS6000 Epson = Mutoh?

Hey Si, Long time no chat ... I seem to recall SignWeb chats a few years back. Anyway, I'll quote Morpheus' comment to Neo: Welcome to the real world. Espon is the printhead and ink company. THE printhead and ink company, in the EcoSol category. If you're not running Espon heads and...
  10. Fc 8000

Whew!!!!! I sent an ad campaign out late last week with: What makes Vinyl Express Q60 such a great cutter? Ask anyone who owns one. Anyone. Then I come into the office Monday and see someone saying "Vinyl Express Q60 is junk..." The timing couldn't have been more ironic. LOL...
  11. Advanced Corel Question - HELP ! ! !

I'd suggest using a cutting plug-in, such as CoCut. Corel's find objects works, once you get the hang of which "any attributes" options to click. But you have to do it for each color and it's cumbersome as heck. A cutting plug-in with welding, outline-to-object, cut-by-color and all the...
  12. Fc 8000

Dang it! I need to raise our prices. :^) We do offer support. As far as how good it is, I'll defer to folks with greater objectivity. But, here are the specifics: Toll-free phone: 7am - 11pm CST, weekdays; 9am to 4pm Sat; 1pm - 5pm Sun. Call as often as you wish, for as long as you...
  13. Fc 8000

:Coffee:Case, If you're not happy with your Vinyl Express Q60, I'd be happy to take it in trade toward an FC7000-60-Mk2 or FC8000-60. The Q60 is an extremely popular cutter (our best selling Q) and would be easy to sell outright if a trade is not to your liking. Meanwhile, here are some...
  14. Fc 8000

Oops, missed this post. Package 4 is definitely nicer, both in terms of software (LXi is FlexiSIGN compatible) and goodies. Also, as the marketing guy, I have some advanced knowledge on upcoming deals. Next week we'll offer the Vinyl Express Q60, and 24-inch cutter made by ... uh ... makers...
  15. Fc 8000

Hi Joe, Graphtec is the premium cutter, in the friction-feed category. For about 80 grand you can get her a Zund flatbed ... thus the qualifier :^) They're whisper quiet, blazing fast, supremely accurate and will outlive most of us. They can cut super thin window-tint and Rubylithe...
  16. Biggest difference between Mutoh & Roland

Thanks; I'd hope not. Hopefully, credibility is judged on its merit and not assumed one way or the other. If anything, I'm held to a higher standard being an exec of SignWarehouse. Advancing false information would expose me and the company I represent to litigation. Thanks again, Jim
  17. Biggest difference between Mutoh & Roland

Yes; we sell Mutch Mutoh. :^)
  18. Biggest difference between Mutoh & Roland

For 35 grand, plus, I'd expect the JV5 platform to be more substantial than a 16 grand ValueJet. In the under 20 grand category, ValueJet reigns supreme. Wave Printing is truly revolutionary, and really puts Mutoh head and shoulders above other printers - in its class.
  19. connecting printer & internet

Are you connecting it directly, or through a router? To print over a network (wireless or wired), it needs to be routed through an Ethernet hub.
  20. Biggest difference between Mutoh & Roland

ValueJet is tremendously successful, and I'm guessing is in wider use than any prior Mutoh printer, maybe all of them combined. And they've been in the market long enough to attest to the fact they deliver, really deliver, on the promise of increased quality, greatly reduced piezo banding and...
