I'd suggest getting a sample first if you can. We ordered 1000 checks a couple of months ago and what we got was really flimsy and cheap feeling. The weight was the same as our previous checks, just a completely different feel. It bothered me to the point where I shredded them and ordered new...

Man, I've seriously got at least 150 of the MDO signs (single and double sided) up around town. I do project signs for several banks and construction companies that way and most of my real estate signs are done like that. Using the coro I've got 20 or so around, some as old as five years old...

Why frame it? Two posts, two pieces of 1/2" MDO, and two digital prints. Dig your holes, set your posts, install a sign on each side, go get a check. It'll last five years or better. Of you can use 10ml coro, just run three 2"x4"s between the posts. I would suggest against using the metal...

So you're going to either throw $15,000 at used equipment or $30,000 at new equipment...with no layout skills (using a friend), no experience, and no client base (part-time gig) just so you can "be the guy with the printer"? Why won't people listen?

Don't fall into the trap of thinking you have to have your own printer. If you (and most other people here) do the math on it honestly you've got to do an awful lot of printing before you actually make more than you will be subbing it out. Also, learn to write a complete sentence.

We ran into the same problem trying to find poly blanks last summer. We found these through Google http://www.signsdirect.com/Home/Polyethylene-sign-blanks but ended up using PVC in the end.
