  3. Question Trying to get a fix on...............

What a Q75 40" cutter cost when new, about 10 or 12 years ago ?? Maybe a little longer than that. What is the equivalent to that cutter today ?? :thankyou: Gino
  4. Banner Lamination

Why laminate a banner ?? Banners are considered temporary and usually do not require any lamination. If you must, just get a can of ClearShield matte finish and put 1 or 2 dry coats down, then put a good final coat on it. Still think it's a waste of time.

  6. Making Videos

It seems you want one's hands in on every aspect of one's business. There is such a thing called delegating and micromanaging. Why not let the professionals do their job and the sign people do their job and perhaps a happy middle will be formed. Sure, there are people in the sign industry who...
  7. for Dr. Seuss

Evidently, we don't learn from our mistakes, because if you keep removing everything ya don't like there won't be anything left based upon what's been going on so far. People are trying to reconstruct history. They're gonna go all the way back to where the earth is flat and see if they can...
  8. Making Videos

Do ya need any voice-overs ??
  9. for Dr. Seuss

It's a pretty common fact that for the last 30 years or so, if you sneezed in China, you know about it, round the world within a minute or two.. Nothing new there. The only difference is how long it took to reach those small towns. However, if you wanted to know, you'd know. That's a given...
  10. for Dr. Seuss

If ya really want, you can go back to the 60's and probably even further than that. No one is ever completely satisfied and now, the squeaky wheel gets fixed first. The whiners are always whining and complaining and they get their outbursts fixed first and the rest of us just sit by and watch...
  11. Small shop vendor orders

Actually, my post could fit in a variety of threads going on at any given time, so thank you, but no, I meant it for this thread. I'm not indicating this is what's happening, but something she could think about to prevent all these problems. Just food for thought. :thankyou:
  12. Small shop vendor orders

I'm not trying to take business away from robert, but you might need to look closer as to what you're ordering..... how much and how often. Next the sizes would be best noted. You'll need to do an evaluation of how much you are spending in a week or a month and seriously think about bringing...
  13. Looking for someone I can outsource some work to

While the OP is looking for someone to wholesale to her, unless you are a Merchant Member, you should not be soliciting work on this site. Anyone without a proper membership, should not be soliciting work, advertising, insinuating or selling anything at all. Please check out the...
  14. Force Majeure: Yet another Corrugated Plastic Increase (Coroplast)

Back in the 60s, gas would fluctuate maybe a tenth of a cent over a period of 6 months or a year. Come the early 70s and it had about doubled in price from .30 a gallon to about .70 a gallon. Still, ya had gas lines that went on for blocks. The gas prices still only varied by tenths of a...
  15. Fun for Friday...

But isn't that the way the guy ordered it ?? It brings attention to the tag line and makes it a kinda focal point.
  16. Force Majeure: Yet another Corrugated Plastic Increase (Coroplast)

Okay, let's take this for instance. How many of you here, both regular members and Merchant Members get e-mails almost everyday from distributors, vendors, suppliers and whatever else about..... this is gonna happen in a few days, so act before such & such a date ?? How many of these same...
  17. Attention Lurkers

I see. For some reason, I always viewed someone who is here and represented by a "guest" symbol and cannot participate at all. Like a wallflower. They wouldn't've been able to participate in your offer, but actual non-participating members can.
  18. Attention Lurkers

Please, just what is your definition of a lurker ??
  19. Force Majeure: Yet another Corrugated Plastic Increase (Coroplast)

I'm not waiting for anything to kick in. I choose not to participate in such foolish schemes. Reality is...... it's gonna be whatever it's gonna be. Buying up skids and train car loads of various substrates is like going to the dentist and getting novacaine for removing your tooth. It...
  20. Force Majeure: Yet another Corrugated Plastic Increase (Coroplast)

Ya know, I just don't get the hype ?? I used to pay $19 for a 1/2" piece of duraply. Today, it has a fancy name, far less quality and it costs around $60 or so. And this company charges to deliver it. All things go up. It's just today, no one wants to sound responsible for it and passes...
