Here's a follow up. Talked to a Roland Tech. They're sending out some caps for the ink station. We sort of deduced that as the culprit after some discussion. The parts should arrive tomorrow. I'll try and post the outcome for anyone that may be interested or have a similar problem.

We've wrapped some laptops (which I gotta believe is similar to your project needs) with 3-M IJ180 V-3 after laminating with Gamut Skin from Fellers. Worked out well.

We do like Flame. Shoot the vehicle with decent camera, and measure and adjust as necessary. Turn opacity to 65% or so and work all layers with photo of vehicle on the top layer. Also, double and triple check all measurements.
