That's a good one.
Our trophy shop is slammed. But inevitably people walk in at the last moment and remember that they've got an awards banquet that night and we stand on our heads (sometimes) trying to make it happen for them.
It's actually self-defeating because the "behavior that gets...
I would think solvent inks on a good grade of vinyl, quality laminate affixed to DiBond or similar metal panel.
But we're not in an extreme climate. Maybe someone from the northern parts can comment.
Sorry to learn of your frustrations with Denco-Seattle.
We've had extremely good service with Denco-Portland, (as you have).
Well... when things get to you like they apparently have, you've got to make a change and it sounds like you have.
Maybe you'll feel better now.
Yeah, you gotta know that differernt jobs require different media.
We print on about 6-7 medias on a daily basic. Then occasionally some specialty medias.
If a signed off "proof" isn't useful in establishing who's error it is, then why use the "proofing" process at all? And if you're going to go-ahead and fix everything at your expense, even the client errors, then that simply dilutes the whole process. Makes it somewhat meaningless.
Bad...
Sign shop assistant wanted.
Will work under the direction of shop foreman and independently at times.
Must be familiar with basic layout and design using sign design software and possess knowlege regarding use of power tools and fundamental installation techniques.
Something like that.
This is amazing to me. We laminate everything.
The only exception at our shop would be the thick 6mil vinyl we use for short-term stickers.
Laminate everything that has to last, especially vehicles which endure harsh weather, sun, washing, etc.
You sound totally unprofessional and bush league at that!
The other thing you're suggesting is not right either.
This is about a lost order. About a man who (rightfully or not) chose to do business with someone other than the original poster. Jesus and Mary, get some help.
Kind of got to go with the foregoing posts.
Materials way, way down. Maybe 15 to 25 percent.
Clients, hard to say. If you're getting the client art files and their pay history including what amounts they've been doing and such, that might be worth a bit more than a dollar and account...
Well, took the plunge and ordered the mats.
500 sq. ft.
Some of you had assumed we have concrete floors (hence the advice to grind, polish, stain, etc.) which we don't and of course you couldn't know.
But the shop space is 9"x9" asbestos tiles. Remember those?
We deglossed them...
So.....DOES anyone have the coin top mats installed?
Would love to hear before I throw $1200 to $1400 bucks at it.
Priced out the professional grade 3-step epoxy stuff (not the Home Depot stuff) and it comes out at about $2.50 per foot. Requires something like 16 days (to do it properly...
Actually RaceDeck and similar products are modular 12"x12" interlocking squares. They average $3.50 to 5.00 per sq. ft.
This stuff is a large rubber mat. Averages around $2.50 per foot.
Not bad if you're only doing 500 feet like we are.
Here's a link...
Ok, so we're getting tired of painting our floors every year. (in a part of the shop area) And then having it chip, flake etc. and generally look bad after a few vehicles exit and enter over it.
The thing that's come to my attention recently is these "mats" that have either a coin top or...
