of all the braille signs we have done we always just threw a buch of dots together to implicate where the braille was located and left the actual braille up to our plaque supplier.

we usually have aluminum frame made to the size of the sign using 1x2 square tubing with some verticla braces the sign is screw or riveted to the frame and the whole thing is installed. if there is a joint we make sure a brace is directly behind the joint

dude, let us know what your installing. if its small signage( up to 2' x 3') I would use 3M automotive double stick tape and I dont mean none of that white squishy junk!
anothing larger might wanna consider screws but have you screwed into stainless....its not fun
I just taped a straight line on the boat and laid the vinyl on top it was still basically a straight line. Your boat appears to have same qualities and I would assume it would be no problem. Its hard to tell on boats but man they sure do have 1 hell of an angle on them
