I have a similar problem but not with Flexi. It is actually with this forum when I type a response to a post using my Dell laptop. The first letter I type seems to make the screen jump to the bottom of the page and when I scroll back up I have to physically click the mouse in the reply area then...
Ihave Flexi for printing but I still do 90% or more of my designing in Signlab 5...why? Because I know it well . I also have Signlab 8 and I am having a heck of a time getting used to it and it to like Flexi will just hang and I believe it has to do with possibly to many bells and whistles. For...
do you fiddle with media compensation while the machine is printing? Also what resolution do you print at and how many passes. On our machine I have a hell of a time with pms321. The only way to get that colour perfect is to run it unidirectional 720 x 720 8 pass and have high speed turned...
I understand the Kings frustration and it may very well be his system causing the problems. When we first started digital printing Flexi Photoprint is the software that I purchased with my printer and we also purchased a brand new more than enough power and memory computer which would solely be...
Whats the deal with Avery. I have used it and currently run the a6 for coro and short term signage. I can't say I have had any problems brought to my attention but this company really has a problem with it's reputation and quality control. Considering their place in the vinyl community something...
They were slow but you also made more money off of them. Today we have to jam out stuff so much cheaper. In the end I will suppose we all produce more for about the same at the end of the day.
OP quit drinking so early and explain yourself? Like trying to read hyroglyphics with you at times lol
I will suppose you are talking about the ancient days of hand painting and letroset?
I started with one of those gizmos back before the pc was invented. You could never really set up a job easily as there was no screen with it, just a red led info area. Doing the easiest of jobs took time but still faster than hand painting in some cases. The cost of this baby was...
Definately it is the take up reel. I always wait and once the vinyl or banner is attached the banding will begin and I have to go from 0 to -40 or more in some cases. You can always tape on a leader if it is a sensitive print and hook it up immediately to the take up reel. Adjusting on the fly...
I somehow have a smile after reading that. Did you coimpose all that yourself or was that from a secondary source?
You forgot to put in there somewhere that when you have your own business you can golf during business hours lol :)
This is weird. I had to print a pontiac logo for a customer who makes displays for GM showrooms and I have printed and cut these before. This time the size was smaller so I opened the existing file which had a contour cut on it and simply reduced it. Sent it out to print 4 of them. Rip error...
Based on what everyone is saying here I can only guess we all run our machines in thick mode? I ran my Mimaki in thin mode the first 8 months and there was never any ink mess in there except for the actual wiper and not nearly as much as I get now in thick mode. Out of curiosity, why is there a...
