  1. Discussion How do you handle this type of deal?

Lettered a guy's lawn cutting service truck about 3 years ago and offered to do it for free, if he cut my grass that summer. He said no. He wanted the money. So, he paid me for the job we did and we paid him by the cut monthly. For the entire season, he got less money, than had he taken my...
  2. Need Help Purchasing a sticker machine

So, let's put this into perspective. You've been handing out a particular grade of digitally printed, cut and laminated product. Now, you want to severely cut the quality and and perhaps the turnaround and not let the end-users know you're cutting corners. How will you keep your customers...
  3. Good morning...from Texas

That's kinda like don't play in the wet sand at the playground sandbox.
  4. Cement Truck Vinyl Type and Pricing

Honestly, I think using any vinyl will work, but just use it as a mask and use a good grade of paint and paint it on. Remove the template/mask and you got yourself a pretty reliable job. At least for 4 or 5 years. You can clear over top, but I wouldn't waste time. money or effort in that step...
  5. Oracal 751RA anyone seen this?

Yeah, that looks like something dropped on it somewhere along the line.

  7. Discussion How do you handle this type of deal?

Have done it many times over the years. My best one was around 1986. Just got my Gerber Sprint system.....WITH A SCREEN and I needed a snowblower. I had the cost of a double sided duraply 4' x 6' and 2pcs 1' x 4' 1-sided and lettered a guys truck in exchange for a brand new tank tread...
  8. Texans may not want to print today....

So, ya need ceiling fans to push the hot air back down. I'll bet there's 20º difference. You'll sweat your b@lls off if you sit on a ladder at the top.
  9. Texans may not want to print today....

When playing around with temperatures like some of you are saying, what happens is, when the drapes, rugs and other fabric types of things start getting cold, that's the hardest things to heat back up. For those of you, not used to this kinda cold, you need to learn how to section your house...
  10. Install Checklist

Hahahaaa.... I meant a gun with bullets. Not a spray gun. I have 100 rounds in each vehicle. All 357s and one .38.
  11. Chromatic Clear Flattening Paste

Never used the paste. Have put additives in the paint, but it was pure liquid, not a paste. You can also add clearcoat with matting agents in it and it comes in different degrees/levels. 1Shot used to have it, so I'm sure chromatic still does, too. Sorry about not knowing for sure abut the...
  12. Install Checklist

Don't know. I have it in my garage at home, here in the shop and also in my sheds at home. If it ever froze, it still worked later on. Maybe ya wanna read the label.
  13. Chromatic Clear Flattening Paste

  15. Install Checklist

I have 2 full cans all the time. One for each hand if the person is by themselves. I probably have 10 cans of that sh!t around the shop.
  16. Install Checklist

Some years ago, we basically outfitted each truck with everything it could use. We have sets of triplicate and even four of some things. The only thing needed extra would be if we needed bags of cement, or an extra generator. Have jumper cables in all the trucks, water, squeegees and vinyl...
  17. Texans may not want to print today....

They're calling for a major ice, freezing rain and sleet storm coming our way tonight into tomorrow. That could make me stay home. I can go through almost anything, but stopping is a different story, especially on an inch or two of ice. We'll see.

This not the time, nor the place to be posting that crap. brian, like I said many times before....... you are a very little person with an even smaller mind.
  20. Outgassing?

I've seen that happen, but not that quickly. Wrong profile for the media and cut too soon. Seems like no one in your place knows what they're doing. Basically the wrong use for the machine vs. your needs.
