How is the ink adhesion with these printers printing directly to white aluminum, 040, 063, 080? And what is the expected outdoor life uncoated vs coated with something like urethane?

If applying film laminate to UV printed on white aluminum, is there adhesion issues? Do you need a thermal laminator or will top roller heat assist work?

We just don't do contour cut magnets anymore. Only squares and rectangles and round the corners with a corner rounder. We used to cut them on a stand alone cutter, you don't have to cut them all the way through. Just score them and they pop out pretty easily. But your best bet if you have a...

Do yourself a favor and print to vinyl and apply that to the magnet. Not worth the hassle and added wear to your machine trying to print on magnet. Yes it can be done, but just isn't worth it.

I agree cutting blanks first just doesn't make any sense, unless you run them through a flatbed or screenprint. I don't want to go down the screen print road, and uv inks on aluminum won't hold up as well as printed vinyl unless you spray them with urethane. We do the same for cut marks, but...
