  1. a simple question...about borders on signs going into frames...

Sounds like you need to get a frame and see how much space the frame covers your panel. Then figure out how wide the orange border needs to be made so as to show just 1" all the way around.
  2. Help redesigning our logo

Always like to hear someone suggest to me how to spend my money. Do the logo yourself, what have you got to lose, time is about it. When I posted my logo a couple a weeks ago some people gave me all sort of suggestions, they even drew some out from google images. So I am paying it forward.

Why not get some plastic track and put some on top and bottom for their panel to slide in.
  10. Giving cedar a weathered look.

The old kind of oven cleaner with lye. 13. Bought Screen Printing operation whats it worth?

Totally agree with Player. Silkscreaming is rough work. You can outsource t shirts to be screened about as cheap as you can do them yourself. If you are doing high end work such as glass panels for one arm bandits, a good flatbed would be better and more cost efficient. Also the large fabric...
  14. Bought Screen Printing operation whats it worth?

Those screen films that she is talking about are called indirect films, Macdermid Autotype or Ulano. They give the best resolution for screen printing because the emulsion depth is controlled. A metal halide lamp is your best direct light source. Direct light gives a harder edge and not...
  15. silk screening vs printing vs cut vinyl

So you are going to make a screen print for one sign. How big is this sign. What type of ink do you think will last longer than cast vinyl. Is it a dark background or light background, probably the later since it lasted so long. You could make him two vinyl signs every seven and a half years for...

That plate is called a threaded wall mount bracket or rod surface mount. It has a place for threaded stock to screw in and then attach the standoff portion. That is on the Gyford Productions / www. standoffsystems.com
