  2. Can't open EPS FILES!

yes, opening any file in photoshop will result as a bitmap no matter what it may have once been.
  3. Can't open EPS FILES!

yeah, we get those bozos too often. I ask what file format they have & they say "what do you want" ...like they can "make anything I want" I won't even answer that question... I just ask them again what they already have.
  4. Can't open EPS FILES!

I'm not sure if this is the case with you, but a lot of people seem to think .eps files are always vector files. Since sometimes they are not, the .eps files that are rastor artwork will have the same limitations as any other rastor file, like possibly requiring them to be "placed" or "imported"...
  5. Nodes in Flexi

Bobby, I propbably simplified my post too much to really make myself clear, but Omega is used every day to run jobs on our edge. For the first 5 years I had it, I was the one running it everyday untill recently hiring my first employee 7 months ago. My main point was that I don't design in it, I...
  6. Nodes in Flexi

I was able to buy Flexi Pro for $1200 because I was a licensed casmate pro owner. I figured I'd need it someday, so when they gave the impression that the crossgrade price was a limited time offer... I went for it. (I don't think it was all that "limited" & although I assume you already had...
  7. Nodes in Flexi

it's been so long I almost forgot CasMate also had a convenient feature like that. I think it was called the Bulge tool & you could select any segment with it & symetrically drag it in or out. Did Freds suggestion work?
  8. Vectorizing In Flexi

even though the immediate need seems to have been solved, I will offer another method. Derf has a good suggestion that I have also used on occassion. Freds suggestion is great also... just tried vectordoctor the other day & was extremely satisfied with fees, timeframe & quality... but...
  9. Greetings to All from Lisa at Arlon

Hi Lisa, glad you made it!
  10. Ethernet cable length

thanks for looking into that. This is the first time I've ever used a firewire cable for anything & I know nothing about them. I do know that I don't like any limitations I don't need to be bound by & I like to know all my options up front so if I start brainstorming some renovations or...
  11. Ethernet cable length

thanks Trevor. I guess I'll get used to the proximity between 'puter & printer
  12. Ethernet cable length

how about fire wire? My 60" printer is connected via fire wire & my supplier said to get used to the 12 footer. I'd like to be able to move things around a little at some point if possible.

"I somehow got it to do it now"???? ...NOT AT ALL SURE WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY, BUT THE LINK IS STILL BAD
  14. Corel Draw 12 Crashes when i weld

Joseph, I'll bet I'm not alone when I say, with all due respect, I don't want to have to download files... you should export it as a .jpg then you can upload it here like everyone else does... makes it easier for us to help you. (besides you gave a bad link anyway, so no one could dl your...

  17. Creative Suite - Standard or Premium?

Fred, I'm also considering the CS2 suite. I plan to go for the premium edition because of several good things I've heard about acrobat which have me convinced that, over time, I will learn & use some of those features. Some of what I was interested in is along the lines of Bobby's...
  18. Edge Thermal Xfer Material

I doubt it. I can't say for sure... some of that "smart blocker" type stuff, or the "Arrow DT White" might work but something tells me this would be a large bit of awning cloth that is not easy to situate in a heat press. Can I suggest you explain the exact specs of the job (lettering only...
  19. Adobe Photoshop Question

just remember you can increase you vector work by any amount to rasterize it into very high resolution. Then you can always back down the file size to minimum required for your purposes. Just don't bring it in too small, spend time building the composite with your existing rastor images before...
  20. Adobe Photoshop Question

bummer... long post typed out... *poof* GONE! :help: anyway, short version: "export transparent image wizard" under help menu is another way to get the clipping path & save as .eps for use in Illustrator & possibly other un-tested (by me) progs. Again, not as clean a path as hand...
