Yeah, that's the crumby part is the color shift you'll get after lamination. It's going to come down to how picky the client is, but it's definitely a small pain in the neck.
Old thread, I know, but the static guns work incredible on that stuff. We just heat bent thousands of small custom cut CNC signs and they arrived with piles of the cutting swarf and chips all over the parts. Several zaps with the static gun and they're basically clean.
Other than the struggle to dial in the color correctly, matte lam can gloss if the installers heat it too hot during installation. I'm assuming you're using cast media and cast laminate for all this. It can definitely scuff easier, but I'm not sure how much you should worry about that. If it...
I was using an older version of Caldera, but we had great success getting much closer with an X-rite spectro and honestly just using the color mgmnt app in Caldera to build new profiles. We bought a Eye-1 at the time and hand scanned the color targets, but it made a huge change in our color...
Our Busch pump came with the magnetic shutoff box, but I can see if it has any specs on it. An electrician should be able to help, but I'll check if there's any info they sent me or on their box.
I actually wish I had a stronger vac pump. I don't think you'll be disappointed with that Becker. I'm pretty sure our Busch is only 11hp. We had a much smaller FPZ that we ran our old Gerber Sabre with, but it would be well undersized for a 5x10 table like we're running now.
Wow that's a lot of power for startup. We're using a Busch Mink pump with our AXYZ and it's been pretty tough. It was flooded under 36" of water for roughly 5hrs during some flooding and we got it back online and functioning without sending it in for service. It was starting to lock up from...
You can look up overhead dust vacs. Most woodworking supply places have them, but I always wondered if they'd kick up more dust just during their on and off cycles. I've definitely wrapped vehicles in dustier shops and we'd always wet the floor prior to any vinyl coming out.
I thought the difference between the Pro and IS versions were speed based mainly pertaining to wood or other materials you can process at high feed rates. The larger diameter compression tooling for wood or wood based products can be run very quickly depending on the diameter or tooling and the...
I don't think you could beat ShopSabre for that price range and the options it affords for $60K. I'd think an AXYZ or Multicam with apples to apples options would be more, but it's worth exploring. We run a 5x10 based AXYZ at our place. Whatever you do get a tool changer and take a deep dive...
