  1. Multicam vs ???

Oh, hahaha, I was talking about the Gerber Sabre line, not the Shop Saber.
  2. Multicam vs ???

Which newer lines are those? I went from a Sabre 408 to an AXYZ infinite with knife, vision, 10position ATC and a 10hp spindle. Other than flood damage we sustained and remediated, we've been very happy with the move to the AXYZ. We found the software - Artpath was the biggest limiting factor...
  3. Shipping Premasked panels and getting tons of tunneling

I'd switch premask as noted above.
  4. Question Roland Waiting 24 Hours Before Lamination

I find the adhesive is gummier/stickier if you don't allow any outgas time. Honestly we hang a lot of wall murals that haven't been outgassed w/out incident. Vehicles are in a more severe environment, but I've also installed many wraps that were off ecp solvent printers and had little...
  5. 2007 AXYZ 4008. powers up, but wont move or do nanything....help please

I'd honestly join the facebook group AXYZ has. They have a tech in there that can at least start the diagnosis. Offhand their cheapest phone support package costs $425 for a year so you can call in and start a support ticket.
  6. Ionizer bars, guns.

It works awesome honestly. We do a lot of acrylic fabrication and it's indispensable to dust component parts or finished parts during assembly.
  7. Ionizer bars, guns.

We bought a chinese copy off amazon similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Antistatic-Generator-Industrial-Electrostatic-Elimination/dp/B098XBTLFT/ref=sr_1_4?crid=BXQ7I87EGK26&keywords=Ionizing%2BAir%2BGun&qid=1654799050&s=hi&sprefix=ionizing%2Bair%2Bgun%2Ctools%2C48&sr=1-4&th=1
  8. Flatbed UV Suggestions

The kyocera heads should have two color channels per head - meaning for single CMYK you'd only have two print heads. Our Vanguard uses the kyocera heads and we only have a total of 5 heads total with equates to dual cmyk and a single white head that's running white in both channels.
  9. Paint acrylic and aluminum letters: where to start?

We rattle can a lot of letters off our CNC or laser. There's a lot of spray paint cans available locally that are more geared towards graffiti paint, but from what we've seen their UV resistance outdoors has been excellent to combat fading. Most of the brands I've seen or used are also satin...
  10. Flatbed UV Suggestions

We've had a Vanguard at our shop since late 2018. We've also looked seriously at the SwissQ line at several shows, but they were just out of budget for what we could get dollar per dollar Vs the Vanguard.
  11. anti static mop

We do a lot of acrylic and pvc fabrication and the antistatic guns are amazing. We have a cheapo chinese knock off unit we got off Amazon and it's been excellent for us.
  12. Flatbed UV Suggestions

You could get dual CMYK and dual white with Vanguard for under $250k. They have hundreds of machines in service.
  13. Flatbed UV Suggestions

The swissQ stuff is baller, but definitely spendy. I don't think I'd put Vanguard or Digitech even in that same category, although their print quality and speeds are aggressive.
  14. FedEx graphics install

We were always supplied the graphics when we did fedex trucks.
  15. FedEx graphics install

Did you post heat that indent afterwards?
  16. Avoiding wrinkles over rivets

I left fleet work before the rollepro came out, but this is excellent advise. We were still doing rivet brushes for the rivet lines, but I'm sure the rollepro has saved countless rotator cuff surgeries that many fleet installers were facing.
  17. Avoiding wrinkles over rivets

We would treat the rivet or obstruction like it wasn't there and squeegee right over it as close to the center of the squeegee as possible. It should tent right around it that way.
  18. What to do about 'Rivets from Hell!'?

We'd use a hole punch on these when I did fleet/trailer work. I def hated doing these, they suck.
  19. Painting black on polycarbonate

The car wrap films come at 60"W, not sure if that helps.
  20. Laminating Acrylic Sheets

Technically I'd agree with the chlorine gas emissions when you laser cut PVC film or board, but it's not like you'll cut 1,5 or 20 jobs with mounted vinyl and kill the laser. Exhaust evacuation, air assist and the quantity of material you're processing will really determine how long it will...
