  1. What are "Presses"?

Definitely. The telephone number blends in terribly, and would have been better served on its own panel below the sign. JB
  2. Swim caps

First thought was pad printing, due to the ink (+ catalyst) required to print on an elastomer. I looked it up, and they also suggested screen printing. Are you sure they're latex? With all the issues of allergies, I would assume they might be silicone or nitrile. JB...
  3. What are "Presses"?

Start this one at 7:30...this dude is amazing.
  4. What are "Presses"?

The fact that they can be par-baked is a game changer for those who like a crisper crust throughout without having to put up with charcoal on the edges. And with options to do tortillas, and paninis....what's not to love? JB
  5. What are "Presses"?

Basically, it's like like some dude looked at his George Knight t-shirt press and said..."Hey, I've got a good idea". Watch to the end....it's more than just squeezing dough.
  6. Does anyone use a solvent recycler?

If you have a flammables cabinet, just store it in rectangular gallon cans. Leave it for a couple months and rack off the clean thinner and let the sludge evaporate out. At that point, the waste would be would be no different than dried paint. Obviously, this type of recycled solvent is only...
  7. One man shop growing pains

Oh my. It looks like I said that. PLEASE post a photo of your sign. JB
  8. Font Id

I find it a wee bit ironic that the "H" looks a somewhat like the open road.... JB
  9. Font Id

The text looks standard. I've seen it before, but I can't remember what it's called. The "H" is blatantly a bastardized "M" from Metallica. You have to trace it from the logo from the owners manual. I brought the first page into Illy and it's very suitable for tracing. Unless your friend...
  10. Font Id

Looks like somebody likes Metallica. JB There's a partial logo here on page one. Pull it into your sign program as a .pdf. It's good enough for a decent trace. https://homesteadertrailer.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Homesteader-LLC-Owners-Manual-R-May-20.pdf
  11. Design fees and payment upfront

Believe it or not, you're paying for a design charge when you buy a package of toilet paper (or any other product on a shelf). Those cute little bears don't get there for free. And besides that, who thinks of them once the dispenser has been filled? But like Notarealsignguy says, design needs...
  12. Anyone know where to get these?

A pair of these side by side..... https://www.amazon.com/Sur-Table-Adjustable-Roasting-SLT-AVR-0605-B/dp/B01B4AWAF2/ref=sr_1_34?crid=1323V7FSEPHVK&keywords=roasting+rack&qid=1645307483&s=home-garden&sprefix=roasting+rac%2Cgarden%2C172&sr=1-34
  13. Anyone know where to get these?

Oh crap, I see that now. Closest search I could find was a "cradle roasting rack". JB
  14. Anyone know where to get these?

Do a bit of snooping on all the manufacturers' web sites. It looks OEM to me. JB
  15. A "clean" new Serif font

Not bad, although some of the terminals seem to be a bit overly-done / exaggerated (for instance at 1:05 with the cap "G". JB
  16. Discussion Is there any young future Sign employees???

I believe it squarely depends on how well the industry is being promoted. No promotion = no interest (by default). Plain and simple. Elbert County High School in Elberton, GA has a Granite Technology program to introduce students to the artistic and skilled trades of the monument industry...
  17. Question Mentoring Interns

An internship is not an apprenticeship. There is a very big difference. In my opinion, the internship is intended to give the student a sufficient real-world overview that is not attainable in a class-room setting. The honing of those skills comes later. JB
  18. Vectorizing Help

If I didn't know any better, I'd say that looks like a two-can toucan. Just sayin'..... He definitely needs a little help aligning the can openings though. JB
  19. Sheet Metal Edge Bending

    Most definitely. JB
  20. Font Help

Former beekeeper here.....I can't help you with the font. Honeybees don't build their comb that way. There is always a hex point at the twelve o'clock and six o'clock position. It's not by mistake. This engineering work is part of several amazing factors that permit the water-like liquid...
