I bought a head from Fieldcenterusa for our Seiko and it worked great. The press died unfortunately so I don't have any longterm update to offer. We ran roughly 12,000 square feet through before the press had other catastrophic failures before we abandoned it. No problems with their head up...
On the flip side it's amazing that edge prints are still in that high of demand! I remember seeing someone "wrap" a whole 53' trailer in edge prints and thinking they were masochists. All 11.8" (that right? - can't remember) panel at a time...
I won't speak out of turn on Dan's behalf, but I think he's got logo design and wrap design down pat, lol. Pretty sure there's several books of his on the subject.
We run their Hyflex ink in our Nur with very good results. Hyflex is made to cut & finish w/out chipping and it will bend 180* w/out incident. It's not as flexible as their vacuum forming ink, but it's pretty neat stuff.
We primarily run:
Styrene, PVCs & Corrugated plastic
We're all in the business of profit, not charity. I have seen a lot of my steady clients price the work around before bringing it to us in the last several weeks. We're making some cuts here and there, but nothing dramatic to keep the work flowing.
