Most customer files I see in Flexi aren't that big and since version 8.5 it compresses the saved file to reduce the size. It all depends on the workflow in your shop if it makes sense to use it or not.
The reason why this is called Flexi Cloud is because they have introduced the ability to store up to 1GB of files free in amazon cloud storage. There is no subscription with Flexi unless you want to use more than 1GB of storage on their amazon cloud servers. Saving your jobs to the cloud is...
The issue is there is no easy way to know 100% what is damaged. You could put in a new head and find out the motherboard is damaged and it just fried your brand new head. You should definitely replace the cables to be on the safe, they are relatively cheap.
Flora did used to build the units for CET so that is probably why. As for having to cut open walls in the office we had to as well to get the 4x8 demo unit into the office space from the warehouse.
Attached are the pictures from our First Flora 6x10 install in North Bergan, NJ. I will have a follow up visit with the customer next week and they are currently loving their printer. We had printed about 8 jobs last night during training. I will be on my way up to NH tonight to install another...
It could be either of those cables. The longer ones with the Group of 3 cables is the CR Cables, the other is the Head Cables. You definitely have a short in the circuit that runs that magenta channel and it is normally cable related.
The F2 Fuse is in the upper right hand corner of the board. It is very small and easy to miss. Find the heat sink in the upper right of the board and the F2 fuse is just above it and is in the middle of the heat sink left to right. You can test the fuse with a multimeter just see if there is any...
Flora 6x10s are being delivered today and tomorrow
Well the truck with the 6x10 Floras showed up today. The smaller package on the truck is a Roll to Roll option for the 4x8 that is out in Long Island. The other picture shows the two creates with the 6x10s inside.
We start the first...
Yes it is. They love the printer. The owner had printed 20 4x8 boards the first night it was in operation and loves the speed and quality. We will be installing a 6x10 starting on Monday or Tuesday of next week and then another 6x10 the following week. Lots more pictures to come.
We have finally begun the install of the unit that was at the USSC show. Print heads are in the unit and calibrated, running some test prints now. Tomorrow we will begin teaching the customer how to operate the unit. I should have more pictures tomorrow of some of the output.
I can't speak to either of those units but I can about the Flora. We are actually in the process of installing a 4x8 unit in Long Island. These units are easy to setup and use. The print quality is great and it can print on boards up to 4" thick. As for the support Graphic Resource Systems...
I highly doubt that Flexi 8 will work on Windows 8. Version 10.5.1 isn't supported either but should work somewhat OK. The biggest issue will be if your output device needs a windows driver to work. The next release of Flexi is supposed to be Windows 8 compatible. From what I was told it is...
I can say from personal experience that unless Oracal drops a dealer or the dealer goes out of business that Oracal is not setting up new dealers, at least in our area. It is also true that the margins on Oracal are not as good but if they would let us sell it we would.
If you look at the board as if it was in the printer the F2 Fuse is in the upper right corner behind the heat sink. You should see it labeled on the board.
